A good keyboard, with a few minor gripes.

This was my first mechanical keyboard, and the keyboard I was using previous to this one was the Razer Arctosa. I'll keep this short because there's not a whole lot to say.The Good:- great to type on, the slight click with the push of every key gives a strangely satisfying feel.- The backlighting (which is already a great feature) can be set to several different levels, or turned off entirely.- The bigger keys like the spacebar have several switches underneath so it feels the same no matter where you push down on it.- The keys and wrist rest both have a rubberised texture, which is a lot nicer than the standard plastic feel I had with my previous keyboard. The Bad:- The wrist rest came a little bent, and it sticks up on the left side. It wasn't a big enough deal for me to send back and request another, but it's kind of annoying.- The C key's LED kept turning off when it was pushed. I removed the key and put it back on and since when it's been fine, but it could lead to problems later on.- the larger keys like the Enter and Backspace keys are only illuminated with one LED, meaning the lighting on the key is visibly dimmer for the arrows on those keys.- The backlighting settings aren't remembered, and so when you turn your computer on, you'll have to reset the backlighting every time. Conclusion:A solid keyboard that I am happy with, however I do not feel as much of an improvement over my previous membrane keyboard as you'd expect when you put in as much money as you have to for most mechanical keyboards. If you play a lot of games or do a lot of typing, then it gets my recommendation, but otherwise, you might want to think twice before sinking £90 into a keyboard with some minor problems and in all likelihood a risk of it coming a little messed up.

The LED lights flicker like mad sometimes and can even completely stop working, other than that it is a solid keyboard. This is after a years usage though.

Happy fingers

I spend hours at my keyboard and after getting sick to death of 'mushy' keys I decided I would take a look at mechanical keyboards. I just wanted a 'normal' keyboard as I am no gamer. I spent days trawling the net and uTube until I didn't know if I was coming or going. Not only was I told about the boards but also the 'key switches'. My head was going round in circles thinking about Black, Blue, Red, Brown. I eventually boiled it down to two 'switches'. Brown or Blue which according to all the reviews are best for typists. Once I had got that sorted I then had to look for a board. Good grief! Have you any idea just how many there are out there! After many hours I made my decision and went for the Qpad MK-80. I KNOW it's a gaming keyboard but it had everything I wanted. I had plumped for 'Blue' switches. So I sent my order off and waited with bated breath for it to arrive, which it did the following day. (Prime). What can I say! This thing is AWESOME. First of all it's very solidly built, and heavy. Once put down on your desk this baby isn't going anywhere. I am not a lover of wrist rests but I thought what the hell and tried it out. Unlike other rests, this is softer and incredibly comfortable to use. Even after hours of typing ; of course it's your choice but I shall stick with the rest. The little feet are rubber and raise the keyboard to a very nice height and 'rake'. Again, it's up to you whether you want to use them or not. Having media keys is a boon and the back lighting is stunning. I love the blue light. Now we come to the nitty gritty.First of all, I don't have very big hands but I can use every single key without stretching. They are literally within fingertip reach. All the keys are slightly dished which fit your fingertips perfectly. Except the number pad which you have to move your hand to, but I find that a plus as you are not likely to be catching numbers whilst typing. The keys themselves are absolutely incredible to use. You only need a very light touch for the key to register and already my speed is up several notches. Some of the reviews said that Blue switches are noisy. They ARE louder than those awful rubber things but I haven't found them too bad. Perhaps if you are in an office or with family they may not like the sound of the old fashioned 'click' of a typewriter but I love it. I actually feel as though I am really typing again. And really, that 'click' isn't too bad at all. For the first time in many years I am actually ENJOYING typing again. In summary.I cannot comment on the 'gaming' aspects of this keyboard but I am sure all you gamer's out there know what you are looking for. I did notice that this board got high review marks from them though. Now, if you are a typist this is DEFINITELY the one for you. It's beautifully and solidly built, comfortable to use for long periods and the keys are out of this world. If you don't want the 'typewriter' sound then go for the Brown switches which they say are quieter but I ADORE the Blues. I know that it's expensive but if you really are wanting a Rolls Royce then you have to shell out for one. And this is going to last for ever and be a joy to use for many years. I will NEVER go back to those awful rubbery keyboards again. My fingers are in heaven, and so am I. Go on, be a devil and take the plunge. I promise that you won't regret it. I haven't.

this is a great keyboard but when i got it the space bar and a few other keys had popped out of place. the box was ripped and was taped back together disappointed but after i popped the keys back in the keyboard is amazing but with blue switchs you better be an accurate typist as this will test you
