Low Voltage, Easy Installation Dimmer
Use this for low voltage, high brightness LED's. It works enormously better than the first 3 systems I tried. Using low voltage LED's allow for easy self installation and concealing wiring.

Just what we needed
We try to buy from the Ma and Pa places on here. Being disabled . We need to be price conscious. At "The Mother In Laws Place" It is an off-grid cabin, we run DC lighting . We see no need to use the inverter 24/7. just so you can turn on a light when you come home . We use LED bulbs in ceiling mount fixtures that are marked 12-volt DC only. These are controlled by controller with a FOB remote. The controller is board mounted on our PV control center . We use a few of the controllers for different rooms to control each ceiling light . These are fused in our DC only fuse center . This fuse center is controlled by a service disconnect at the DC master box . We also run two AC fuse boxes on our PV board . One protects various AC 110 volt circuits in the cabin , garage and sauna . The other protects 220 volt circuits from the aux gen set and to the split ac/heat pump and the aux battery charger for when the PV and hopefully soon to be wind generated power are not enough to keep up. We run 8 - 6volt Rolls batteries tied by Buss bars . They are temperature and voltage monitored on the PV board and by the inverter unit. The power is inverted by a Renogy 3000 . It also has a multi stage charger built it with flow through capability . These are almost all protected by Breakers purchased here . This is a semi detailed , general description of some of the off grid power system we use . I am going to add this review to each one of the parts bought on here .

Worked great for 2 days.
Well at first it only worked on one of the 3 outputs. Then after 2 days it worked on none. 2 outputs it would be lit but remote wouldn't work and then the output that DID work stopped working and started making the lights very dim and flickering. Pretty disappointed.

Works Great!
I have low voltage pucks - I had trouble finding a dimmer that would work. I contacted the manufacturer and the lighting store where I bought the lights and options were either none or about $100 ... it was tricky figuring out which wires went where - you need to try moving them - but once I got that right it worked great - and this was much cheaper than any alternative.

Good value, works as advertised
This is straightforward to install in-line with a non-dimmable led driver. Delivers a good, flicker-free range of dimming. Controller is not the most attractive design, feels a little light weight, and can be a little quirky - but it has a good range and does the job. It would be nice if it came with a wall holder, the convex bottom of the controller makes it tricky to use when it is lying on a worktop.

Easy to install and use
So this is basically a voltage regulator that lets you vary your output-voltage from about 11.4 to 12.1 volts. I had a small mishap in that I wired my lights incorrectly because I didnโt notice that there are 3 negative screws to the one positive screw... I incorrectly thought they were matching -/+ pairs. Also, when I first connected it, the output was set to the lowest setting, so without a volt-meter it looked like the dimmer wasnโt working. Once I put batteries in the remote and turned up the voltage, everything worked as it should. In the 12-volt setup that I have, the remote allows me to vary the voltage up or down pretty smoothly, but the buttons on the remote also have (10%) discrete steps that vary from about 0.10 to 0.20 volts as they go down. I feel like there are a lot of applications for this dimmer, but if using it for LEDs I think your results will really depend on the quality of your power supply and LEDs.

Receiver needs an antenna, I had to hold remote 2 inches away to get it to work.
I have 2 LED bulbs in pendants over my kitchen island. This remove simply would not control them with any reliability. Sometimes I moved the remote within 2 inches of receiver and it might work. Dimming function was horrible. I suspect if the receiver had an antenna it would have picked up remote signal better ????

Great for Dimming RV lights
My RV interior lights are very bright LED's and I always wished they can be dimmed. I wired this dimmer switch into the InCommand panel located in my storage compartment. It was an easy install. All I had to do was run two new wires to the input and use the existing wires on the output. The remote works perfectly and now my lights dim to whatever level I like. Two thumbs up and highly recommended!
