Men's Expedition North Ridge

well what can i say, when i ordered this watch at the sub £50 price i was expecting a watch with a resin case and acrylic crystal, How wrong was i , the watch is of a substantial weight sugesting that the black PVD coated case is in fact a solid stainless steel construction. This definately feels ruged enough to become a daily work watch. The overal design is really nice it is a chronograph but does not feel to cluttered. the hands are lumed and nicely designed with a floating effect. the black dial does have a very light paterning when viewed in the right light. It comes fitted with what feels like a really nice fabric strap and has a lug width of 20mm making it a strap monster, i have already ordered a silicone strap for wearing when im swimming. the water resistance is a resptable 100 mtr's but does have a push in crown. one of the unique things with Timex is the indiglo night light, very usefull for dark environvemts and is genaraly an amzing feature. The Chrono function all works as expected with an additional feature on the top right sub dial that is when the top button is pressed to stop the timer this hand sets to the stop time of the main chrono second hand. The main running seconds are displayed in a small sub dial at the bottom of the dial. The bezel is uni-directional and does feel really nice with a satisfying click at every point this also appears to be made of stainless. Overall opinion a very nice solid felling and clean looking watch from a watch company that has a great heritage. Definately a 5 star watch excellent value for money at below £100 and at a sub £50 price even better value. Another fine Timex peice for my collection.

There's good and bad. The good things are: the watch looks very nice. I don't know if you can tell from the photos but the dial background is not straight black but has sparkles the colour of the markings- white. There's a nice weight to the watch even though the case is plated brass not stainless steel. The indiglo is really nice and illuminates the time and the chronograph perfectly. There's a jump hour feature where the date set would usually be which lets you easily adjust when traveling or when the hour goes forward or back. The chronograph is easy to read thanks to only tracking 30m not 60 and the fact that the minute jumps from one minute to the next rather than smoothly moving. The bad things: the bezel feels and sounds awful when you turn it like it's going to break any second. There's no lume on the top of the bezel so you can't use the bezel in the dark. The chronograph start stop button doesn't register every time which nixes precise timing. Going back to the chronograph the upper limit of 30m is limiting although you can use the bezel to track the hour hand. I think the chronograph runs for 4 hours before stopping. The third sub dial registering sub seconds is useless given the start stop button dodginess, it would have been better to give us elapsed hours or even 24h display which is very common although you don't need to know am or pm to avoid date set danger zone as the way you set the date, unusually is by spinning the hour hand to advance find until the day changes. (Which is annoying when you first get the watch but after that should be ok as it turns both ways) Overall The watch is growing on me. I put a bracelet on it although the supplied strap is nice and comfortable with a suede like feel.

Primero que nada es muy bonito, los colores combinan a la perfección, es un poco pesado si soy honesto, pero es bastante bonito, el bisel es rotativo no es solo vista, así que es funcional, me gusto mucho este producto, vale su precio
