Shave Cream Tube

My tailor gave me a Christmas basket. The basket included a tube of Triumph & Disaster. I was satisfied with my old shave gel, so I didn't use it for quite a while. Finally, I tried it, just in case my tailor asked me how I liked it. To my surprise, I loved it! I have since reordered (repeatedly).Here are the pluses:1) It is very smooth on the face. It doesn't foam: it is a slick cream. Very pleasant.2) I shave in the shower. Shave gel washes off when hit by a few drops of water. T&D stays put.3) It smells great! I rearranged my routine so that I shave last: I want the smell to last.Minuses:1) It is a bit pricey. However, we're not talking high finance. Try it once. You won't go back to gel or foam.2) That's it. No other minuses!This is a terrific product. I highly recommend it.

Awesome stuff. Only problem is the cap on top broke very easily so now it's always open, other than that it smells great and excellent shave

In terms of high end shaving cream, Triumph and Disaster ranks amongst the best. The scent harkens back to an olde timey barbershop. I’m sure it is best used with a straight razor, but a safety razor or cartridge blade and a brush will be more than sufficient!

Not crazy about this product. It lathers on well but in terms of protecting the skin, doesn’t do so well. It’s not very creamy, a tad gritty even.

I've purchased the shave cream from a local retailer and honestly one of the best shave creams that I have used (other than a high end from a "farmacia" in Florence that is also good but costs an arm and a leg for shipping). That said, order another shave cream and the face scrub which I tried last night. All I can say is that these Kiwis know what they are doing! Thanks for the great product.

Smells lovely and I love the silver metallic bottle. Should last a good long while.

The first impression is from the smell of the product - it's strong and rancid. After a few minutes you realize it's a citrus based smell - maybe mixed with some mint. Face lathered with a brush. The lather is a bit weak, and its lubrication is nothing special - tolerable if you like the smell. Smell was enough for me to toss its after the first shave. There are better products out there.

Definite old school feel with a new school bite.
