Second time replacing... keep an extra on hand
A couple years ago I was thrilled to find a keyed lock for my sliding glass door since this is the door we prefer to use regularly. After about a year, I found that it didn't always lock. In examining it, I saw that the keeper had a little notch chipped/worn out so the lock was not hooking in properly. I replaced it with this keeper and it worked beautifully. However, after another 2 years, same problem. I searched to see if there was another brand or material that would hold longer, but did not find anything. This was a pretty easy and inexpensive fix, so I just purchased 2 of them so I could have an extra on hand, knowing it will eventually wear out. Installing took all of 5 minutes. I just unscrewed the old one and screwed in the new one. Finished business, done!

Fits my door great
I used these on my sliding patio door after we bought a house from people who were apparently not very security-minded. It was quick to install, and I was worried that it wasn’t going to fit on our door. It did though, and I am content.
