Neubauer-improved standard counting chambers

Like most microscope slides you need to clean it before use. I used lens wipes to clean mine and it looks fine. It seems almost identical to a branded one I purchased with a similar price.

Bought to count Nosema spores. Had to order a different one as the grid lines are almost impossible to see. Had a Dr. try it out as well. He said same. Waste of my hard earned bee money 😆 UPDATE: bought the German made slide and huge difference. It worked great. Don’t waste you money on this Chinese junk.

I took a chance on these because of the price. Definitely a case of "you get what you pay for." Lots of small defects/scratches/junk that litter the field under a microscope. If you are absolutely strapped for cash and need a hemocytometer, these are better than nothing. If you are used to counting cells on a clean field, these will drive you crazy and you should pay the money for a better product. If you want to split the difference, throw out the cover slides that come with this product and get yourself a good, glass cover slide.

very easy to use

The grid lines do not form a proper cell-counting grid; The lines are unevenly spaced and do not form 9 large squares containing 16 smaller squares.

The cells are hard to see, and it is hard to see the live and dead cells with trypan blue.

The grid etchings are very almost invisible and coverslips are too thin, I would not recommend this product.

A little expensive but great for teaching.
