Great fit and excellent padding. Very quiet.
I'm a Harley guy, and have been riding for over 40 years. I don't usually write reviews unless there is something to write about (good or bad). The HJC RPHA 91 is probably the best helmet I have ever purchased. The padding is very good, sound suppression is excellent. All the mechanical features described are excellently crafted and do not disappoint. Ventilation ports on this helmet is unmatchable with the other helmets I have owned, so you can use this helmet in most climates. Pinlock keeps the helmet from fogging on the inside, so this is helpful in riding in cold weather (the cheap method for me was using the shaving cream for anti-fog). When I measured my head, I found myself borderline between sizes. I picked the larger size and glad I did. There is enough padding in the helmet to absorb the space, and the helmet still fit snuggly. I still had enough space to tuck my beard nicely inside the helmet so it doesn't get tangled up by the wind when I ride long distances. The only problem I noted with this helmet is I was no longer able to hear my radio or engine unlike the other helmets I have owned. It is very quiet, almost too quiet. I have lived with tinnitus all my life and my ears are no longer ringing when I get off the bike. Because it is a modular helmet there is still a small amount of wind noise; but it is not a big deal any more. The wind noise is easily correctable with some quality earplugs. I also bought the HJC 50B communication package for this helmet so I can group ride and use the Sena mesh communication and jam with my favorite music. The headset was easy to install and I am happy with it.

Great helmet - quiet & comfortable
I’ve been a shoei guy my whole life but this one came up on a YouTube review of quiet helmets so I took a shot on it. It’s not the cheapest you can buy but it does the job. I roll with a pair of AirPods Pro and it’s practically silent inside the helmet. I found that it didn’t quite fit my head when I first bought it (shoei does fit me perfectly) but I just used my fist to sort of squish in a little (<1/4 inch) of foam in the front around my forehead and now it fits me perfectly. Definitely like the tinted lens too and the airflow is fine. Maybe it fogs up a bit more than I think it should but no more than any other helmet I’ve ridden with for the last 30y

GOOD helmet
I have tried a few different choices of helmet and found them to be noisy which considering they are 'handmade' was disappointing. This modular helmet is a different story, its fits well and has a quiet visor. Size and shape is good for my head and my eyeglasses feel comfortable. I do not find it heavy as all and the visibility is good. I have just fitted the pin lock so lets see what the improvement is in vision and sound. Its a keeper =)

Sun visor broke. Otherwise a good helmet.
The sun visor broke the 5th time I used it. It got stuck in the down position. Just seems like this part of the helmet needs redesigning. Otherwise it is a good helmet.

Best modular helmet!
Very comfortable and QUIET modular helmet. Breathes very well with the chin, eyebrow and head vents. This new style has no issues with the visor staying in place while riding either.

Great helmet, but not as quiet as I hoped for.
First off let me say that this is a fantastic helmet. Comfortable, has all the features, good airflow, sun visor, pin lock included. This is the first helmet I’ve ever had that I could actually feel the passive airflow working. That all being said, I bought this primarily because I was concerned about hearing protection and because this helmet has many reviews that said it was the quietest helmet you could buy. Let me tell you that this does very little for hearing protection. Maybe it is a little quieter than other helmets but it’s still loud. If you have a huge faring on your bike maybe it is quiet but if you’re battling the wind face on it isn’t. Even with earplugs it’s loud for me. The only thing that will reduce wind noise is noise cancelling headphones and/or a fairing.

Perfect modular helmet
I decided to give the RPHA 91 a shot and I’m glad I did. Fit is perfect for me in a size Med, snug but not uncomfortable. I wore it at home for about 30 minutes and there were no fitment issues. I love that the internal visor is adjustable as well. Riding with it is great LOTS of air flow and I’m surprised the visor stays up at around 70mph but I’m sure the type of bike plays a factor in that, I was on my HD Low Rider ST. Riding with the chin bar up had no issues even without using the lock. Comes with a clear visor and Pinlock the gold visor you see is sold separately. Highly recommend!

Great helmet and quiet
I like the modular helmet. It feels much better than my older HJC modular helmet. I like the way it pivots back which allows me to ride with the chin up or down (I normally ride with it down for safety). The visor is a bit too easy to move between settings. A gust of wind will close the visor when I wanted it open. I don't know if that can be adjusted. I like the dropdown shade visor which shifts forward to allow more space for my nose and glasses. I didn't even know I'd want that feature. But, now that I have it, it's a must-have! I listen to audio books and such with my Sena Spider ST1. I don't have to turn up the volume as loud with this helmet which is a good thing. I don't have a noisy exhaust (Honda Goldwing) so it's mostly road and wind noise. I can also hear automobiles around me. So, I think it's a good balance for my setup.
