No. This unit runs on Linux, not Android. It is designed specifically for Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto stability. It does not have the Google Play Store for app downloads.

How do I know if I have the NBT system?

Check your factory screen's LVDS cable. If it has 6 Pins, it is NBT (typically 2013-2016 models). If it has 4 Pins, it is CIC (do not buy this unit).

Will my original iDrive knob work in CarPlay?

Why is there no sound after installation?

The audio goes through the AUX channel. You must switch your original BMW radio to "AUX" mode to hear sound from CarPlay/Music. Make sure the AUX connection is secure.
