Works good enough, no stink
It doesn't work on first application *like some people said worked for them) but did after a second one (as per instructions). Doesn't stinky, easy to apply. Unfortunately won't be enough to finish the project (I bought the largest size, which is good value) but I will buy it again

Better on varnish than paint.
Like the fact you can actually breathe while using this, and the place doesn't smell of it for days. I like that it's easy to use. What I wasn't keen on was it didn't do as good a job of removing paint, and the time it takes to work. Once I got through the paint, and applied it on old varnish...loved it. Yes it's messy to use but the ease of removing a dreaded coat of varnish makes it a winner for me.

Works quickly with very little smell.
I used to remove think varnish from slate floor tiles . Worked quickly in most areas did need reapplied on extra thick areas. Easy to use , just brushed on. Added benefit of being low odor. Great product will use again in the future.

Waste of time. Not fit for purpose.
Absolutely rubbish. It can't even remove one coat of decking paint. A waste of 30 quid.

Not sure about effectiveness
It works, but not as effectively as I would want. It might be that the paint is too old (layers up to 90 years old), the wood is too soft or I haven't mastered the right technique, but it is very tedious work, the result is not perfect and will require sanding or further cleaning. The good point - it does not smell that bad or very strong

Does the job
Bought this product to enable me to strip dark orange varnish from my interior pine doors. The doors only have a couple of coats of varnish on so I found I only needed one layer of TX10, left to do its magic for one hour. It was easily scraped off after this time. The smell is non-offensive and disappears after about 48 hours. Would highly recommend this product to aid such a tedious job!

Doesn't work
Not impressed. Used about 3 litres today trying to get varnish off a headboard and blanket box. Dame application all over as per instructions. Some parts worked well and some had no impact. After 6 hours solid work, now have very patchy wood which looks worse than I started. For info, I was double gloving with disposable nitrile gloves and they were just dissolving on contact. Used about 60 gloves. Not sure whether to persevere and do a 3rd coat or whether this will make it worse. Either way wouldn't buy again

Pleasant to use product for a really unpleasant job
Very easy to use product and I didn't feel as though I'd suffer unduly if I got some on my skin (unlike other products that take your skin off!) It worked quite well on an old window frame. I did have to give it 2 applications but that wasn't a great hardship as it goes on easily. After application I covered it with clingfilm to stop it drying out, went and had a cuppa and a pootle about and a couple of hours later, the paint had bubbled up and was ready to remove with a shave hook. I read another reviewer who suggested that you have bits of cardboard ready to catch the gung and what a brilliant but of advice that was! Another thing that's obvious, (but I learned the hard way) is start at the top. That way you're not having to remove bits of gloop from areas that you've already done. Would buy this product again without hesitation, but if you're reading this review do bear in mind that every paint stripping job is different.
