This product ranks up there with Velcro! For years I would try to block the sun from hitting our door sensors and precluding closure. Twice a year the Sun would descent at an angle that shined right into the sensor. It was as if we lived in Stonehenge. I'd stand in front of the sun, use a trash basket, etc. Or give up and wait until the Sun moved more. This device is perfect. I only need one of them, however I may install it on the other side as well. It installs in under a minute and works.

I felt like my garage door not closing on sunny days was probably just a petty problem, but honestly every sunny day between 11 am and 3 pm, if I went anywhere I had to pull the car out of garage, get out of the car, press and hold the garage door opener button on the wall inside garage to get it to close. Then walk through the house and come out the front door and lock the front door. Then I could get in the car again and finally leave. I called a garage door repair company and the guy said he’d prob put on new sensors and also “sun shields.” We had tried homemade sun shields with toilet paper tubes, but it didn’t work. I didn’t know this product was something I could just buy for like $10. Like I said in title….it’s like magic! Worked immediately and worked ever since. Simple, inexpensive solution. I can’t believe I put up with that inconvenience unnecessarily for so long! If you have the sunny day GDO problem, give these a try.
