SSK 256GB USB C Flash Thumb Drive up to 550MB/s Dual USB C+A Memory Stick

This is honestly my favorite flash drive I have ever owned. The solid metal body feels exceptionally durable and premium, and the dual USB-A and USB-C connectors make it incredibly versatile. It works perfectly across all my laptops and devices without needing adapters, which is enormously convenient. Performance has been excellent. Transfer speeds are fast, the 128GB capacity is generous, and the drive feels far more substantial and reliable than typical plastic thumb drives. This is one of those products that quickly becomes part of your everyday carry because it is simply so useful. If you need a fast, high-capacity flash drive that works with both modern USB-C devices and older USB-A systems, this is an outstanding choice and offers excellent value for the money. Compatible with Windows, Linux and Mac

Tired of those average flash drives... Yes! The ones with limited space and take forever to transfer all of your files? Say no more! With its 128GB to 1TB capacity and USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface, which offers read and write rates of up to 460MB and 360MB, respectively, the SSK External Flash Drive completely alters that. It's ideal for on-the-go use because it can be slipped into your pocket or attached to your key chain. This gadget is incredibly versatile, making it ideal for storing and playing documents, videos, and images in one location. Overall, this should provide consistent performance, while some people may discover different to comparable results. Several people have mentioned that this drive becomes hot, but exactly how toasty does it get? In the last two images, I recorded the base temperature 5 minutes after first plugging it in, which was 32°C. Then, I thought it wouldn't have made sense to take recordings of the tempture during the first test, so I ran two full tests with 9 runs per each SEQ (SEQUNTIAL) and RND (RANDOM) read/write of the 16 GB as a drive burner, each test taking about 10 minutes. During the second test, I recorded the temperature at 51°C which was its peak but hovering more around 50°C. However, in just a matter of one to two minutes its already cool due to its Zinc alloy outer coating. If your worried about the dual USB A and C ends not having the same speeds, have no worries! I ran both ends into the back end of my B450-F Gaming Motherboard which has USB A and C 10Gbps ports. The speeds have about 1% deviation in speeds if none at all since these tests aren't perfect, meaning the storage chips are slower than the interface so for complexity reasons in this review I've chosen to keep it simple. For anyone in search of a reliable pocket-sized device that offers both high speeds and large storage capacity, this is definitely the one to consider. Its performance is unmatched, providing fast data transfers and handling demanding tasks with ease. Whether you're backing up large files, running high-capacity tests, or need quick access to your data on the go, this device delivers consistently. There are virtually no alternatives on the market that offer the same combination of speed, durability, and storage in such a compact form. It's a game-changer for those who need portable, high-performance storage.

Incredible quality and impeccable performance. I needed a flash drive and boy have these changed since back in my day lol. It sustains fast read and writes under various loads and the 512GB capacity is incredible for something so small. I only had a portable NVMe that I used, so I was in the market for an actual flash drive. The device feels sturdy and high quality in my hand, the case is a nice touch to protect the hardware. I'm seeing excellent read and write speeds, I love it!

Pros: Benchmarking with fio shows around 400MB/s write speed for both USB C and A (plugged into USB4 and USB 3.2 gen 2 ports respectively). Comes formatted with exFAT file system, a good choice for compatibility. Nice metal construction for durability and heat dissipation. The keyring carry case is a nice touch for portability. Cons: The USB-A plug cover is removable, which could get lost. The plugs seem to be just a hair too large, which can make plugging it in a little more difficult than normal. No indicator light showing read/write activity. Overall, pretty good for the price.

I haven’t tried many dual USB flash drives, but I love this one. It has made life so much easier. It does get warm though like other reviewers have reported, but it’s very fast, very convenient, and a total game changer.

I have several SSK drives. I keep buying larger ones as my needs increase. The build quality of their drives is probably the best I’ve ever seen. Don’t worry if you drop it or even step on it, you are not going to damage this guy. The included leather case with keyring and security snap is a wonderful idea. You will not lose this drive like I have done with others. Far far exceeded my expectations.

After 12 months of daily use, this SSK flash drive remains my go-to drive for backing up personal videos and moving recorded clips off my PS5. Pros: -Blazing Fast File Transfers: Handles large video libraries effortlessly without dropping transfer speeds halfway through. -Premium Metal Build: Solid construction that feels built to last. -Protective Pouch: Comes with a neat little bag that keeps the drive secure and dirt-free on the go. Cons: -Gets Warm: The drive becomes quite warm during extended video uploads. It appears to be normal heat dissipation through the metal body, but you will feel it when removing the drive. Summary: If you need high-speed transfers and a robust, non-cheap design, this drive delivers outstanding value.

First impression is that it looks great and has a smooth and solid feel that feels great in your hand. The case is a nice touch if you do not want to add a lanyard to the drive itself, which you can do on the USBC side. It is a great value dual flash drive if you plan to handle gigabyte-size files. You can find faster dual drives (at a higher price) like the SanDisk Extreme Pro Dual drive (min. 256 GB capacity), but for most users, this drive will provide reasonable speeds from both USBA and USBC ports. During my own test, downloading a 10.7 GB folder from my HP Omni-book 15 laptop took between 60 and 63 seconds using 10 Gbps USBA and USBC ports. Average write speeds were around 250 MB/s during the first 45 seconds with a peak of 300 MB/s, slowing down towards the end of the download to about 133 MB/s. Average write speed about 178 MB/s. The drive does not get hot at all. All in all, I'm very pleased with this flash drive, the only issue that I have is how hard it is to plug and unplug from my laptop ports. Soon, I will be adding a cheap usb hub to reduce wear on my laptop ports. Note: Previously, I tried a 128GB PNY DUO LINK USB 3.2 that was terrible. It would take over and hour to download the same 10.7 GB folder using the same ports on my laptop.

Would have happily given 10 stars, amazing product. I had been looking for a convenient way to transfer phone data and this is exactly what i was looking for. Connects directly to mobile and very fast data transfer.

Very convenient to use, fast and stable

He usado esta memoria por un par de meses y las velocidades son reales. No se calienta y me encanta que tenga dos entradas usb A y C para mayor versatilidad. También me gusta que viniera con su propio estuche pequeño para transporte más fácil.
