All Creatures Great & Small: Series 4 [DVD]

I have the full series of the original all creatures great and small in DVD format televised by BBC. In my opinion this new version is as good as the original. To date I have purchased all series 1 to 4 and am eager to continue to do so, for any that follow. I must say that of all the people played in the series the one who for me stands out is Mrs Hall. I have to say on the original series I would have viewed it at least once a year as I found it gave me a feel go factor. I have also found this with the new series. I would strongly recommend it to any ardent viewer of the original.

As a fan of the original seventies series starring Christopher Timothy, I approached the update with a large amount of uneasiness but I needn’t have worried. Now I have all four seasons of the updated version. This one, the fourth, was extremely good viewing and heart wrenching as well. Nicholas Ralph is perfectly cast as the young James Herriot and the situations he finds himself in are both heartwarming and comedic. Utterly brilliant.

follows on from previous dvd series three a very pleasant story line again so enjoyable to just sit and enjoy.

Always a comfy curl up cup of tea on the sofa watch, A turn off and tune in easy view, I am old enough to remember the original series from the 1980's which will always be the better and deeper watch in my view (give it a try), That being said this version has a very believable cast but is watered down in content.

More of the same tale of vet folk and just as good. Tristan is a loss boldly borne. For Hornblower and Corrie fans, Paul Copley is a new character and a delight. Hope Mrs Hall is observant!

Wonderful series which is as good if not better than the BBC original of the past. A little off script at times but well within the spirit of the books and so well cast. Pity the cases are so cheap and nasty.....price not cheap though but it.

Occasionally I care for our "family" dog, Mollie, a black lab. Mollie has particular viewing tastes in the evening. Five paws means she watches the show attentively, ears perked from time to time as she hears familiar sounds-- other dogs, and human voices in conversation. When Mollie does not like a program she turns her back on it, curls up ("doggie donut") and sleeps. Loud bangs, flashy explosions and people screaming at each other in rage, pain or terror, she turns her back and is soon snoring. Oddly, I've found following Mollie's viewing tastes has resulted in a better night's sleep.

Exceptional family friendly entertainment. I have always loved the books and the cast for this series is great. There is also the wonderful scenery.

Erneut eine gelungene Fortsetzung der Animal Doctor Geschichten, die in der Neudarstellung ihren ganz eigenen, aber sehr besonderen Charakter zeigt. Die Lieferung erfolgte relativ zügig und solide verpackt. Alles bestens!

Ottimi DVD della quarta parte della storia di James Herriot,veterinaio britannico .Ho ricevuto in tempo e ben impacchettato il prodotto .La stessa storia e' avvincente e ricca di umanita'. Adesso aspetto le prossime serie con impazienza. Grazie e complimenti per l'ottimo lavoro.
