Splash About Sleeved Floatsuit for Babies and Toddlers Learning to Swim

At first I was alittle skeptical of how well my child would be able to hold up out of the water. She is 3, 37 pounds and I ordered the size 4-6 years old. It fit great and my daughter loved it right out of the package. Today we went to the pool and she was so excited that she could swim all by herself without mommy. It gave her ao much confidence. She didn't want to get out or leave when it was time to go.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: These suits are so good, child needs to have arm movement to keep head up & balance. Grandson 2 yrs old & swimming around on his own, supervised of course.

I read the good and bad reviews and had to try it for myself. The bottom line: it does not hold a child afloat. AT ALL. My daughter went straight under water with the first try and every try. This could be a protective suit for a child who already knows how to swim and needs some support, but not to be used with a child who doesn't know how to, or is learning to swim. Not to be left unattended. Besides that, the color does not look like in the picture. It is much lighter, it looks faded, as if it was used and in the sun for seasons. It also came with visible yellowish stains - someone else mentioned that in their review. It does not look like a $60 suit. And does not work.

This float suit is great! This is the 2nd one I have purchased from this company. My first child used the size 1-2 from 16mo to about 3yo. I had to hold her up for the first summer as this float suit does NOT keep them upright on its own, they will fall over until they learn to stay upright. During the summer it was used probably about 5x a week, and it held up great. However, at the end it was pretty stretched out and didn’t form to her body like the material previously had, it was really loose and thin. My 2nd child is 18mo, 26lbs and it fits her great!

I like it a lot, but the neck seems a little uncomfortable

This product is working well for my 20 month old granddaughter. It gives her the freedom to work on the skills needed for swimming while giving a measure of safety as well. Of course at this point we are right there with her every second but I am very pleased with this product.

We love this swim suit. It's well made and works great in the water. Our daughter needs to kick or move her arms to keep her head up but it is not difficult, it's a great swim suit to have your child supervised in the water. The fabric is excellent and it's easy to clean. This gives her confidence in the water and at the same time she doesn't just sit there. We love it!

It does not provide the stability that I was hoping for. I generally feel better with my daughter wearing this rather than nothing, but it definitely does not prevent her from face planting in the water. I'm going to keep this, but will probably end up buying something else.

Ya hemos comprado varios de esta marca, y estamos encantados. Habíamos probado alguno de otra marca y no tiene nada que ver la flotabilidad que ofrecen. Muy cómodo de ajustar, y se queda a la altura perfecta para que tenga que hacer un pequeño esfuerzo por mantenerse flotando. Es decir, no sirve como seguridad para que no se hunda, sino para enseñarle a nadar con ayuda de un adulto. Le ayuda a aletear con los pies, a pesar del descenso y moverse por el agua.
