Got this and put it together and we love it. There is definitely an odor from the logs or the bits at the bottom, but we are hoping this goes away. We did have to order separate parts to hook it up to our tank. The instructions say to NOT use a small tank as you would with a BBQ grill, but so far it is working fine. It should have said that before you actually buy it. If you don’t put those little bits in front of he burner it looks weird, but once you place those it looks great! We love the remote. As others have said, it was hard to get it started at first, and when you shut it off and turn it back on it takes a bit for the flame to come through all the holes, but not long. Wish we had done this when we bought the house 8 years ago! So far so good.

Don’t buy! As others mentioned, the pilot light does not stay lit. We had this insert professionally installed and it worked without issue for ~3 months. After the first 3 months, the pilot goes out. Support is useless. I was told, “The remote can only operate the burner, the pilot has to be manually lit when operating the unit.” Seriously? So I’m supposed light the pilot every time? It’s ridiculous.

Easy setup. Puts out lots of heat! Solid, heavy logs which hold heat after the fire goes out which is nice. The remote is great! Not common on units in this price range. It has on/off and a built in thermostat. I set it to 70 degrees, place the remote across the room and it automatically keeps it in that temp range.The logs are an issue when first setting up. They aren't numbered and the pics are not very helpful for placement. It's like a puzzle. Have fun. They also put off an odor for the first few hours. After that, they are beautiful and the amber padding and small rocks included add a great ambiance.I purchased a universal gas appliance connection kit which is a good idea since it doesn't come with a lot of connectors.I can't believe this was under four hundred dollars. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Great set of 24" ventless gas logs from Duluth Forge. Arrived wrapped up tight and factory sealed. Set up is fairly straightforward but you will have to furnish (1) 3/4 NPT -1/2" male flared gas fitting as it is not included. Unit arrived set up for L.P. so that was a plus. Looks great and really puts out some heat. The remote control is definitely a plus as our existing gas logs were manual off/on. Looking forward to many years of service with these logs.

Nice fireplace. Install was fairly straight forward was switching out one that was there. Fire is nice, does throw some good heat. Only complaint is the remote. Easy on/off but if you want to use the thermostat part of it not so easy. Only will set by chance. Wish I could get a different one that had more controls so it was easier to set a temperature and forget it. Otherwise nice.

This fireplace looks realistic and really warms our living room up. My cats love it! I love the thermostat in the remote. It would probably get too hot if you didnt use the thermostat. Works great and we really like it.

This has been a completely disappointing experience with this product and the product support. My fireplace is completely dead after only 1.5 years. Tried some troubleshooting but the fact is that this fireplace worked in my house rental for 1.5 seasons and it’s completely dead right now. I am going to simply replace it since this product and the troubleshooting is poor quality. Very disappointed.

I was hesitant to purchase as some reviews hadn’t been the best, but we’ve been extremely happy with the product. Our previous natural gas fireplace lasted 10+ years so when I was tasked with finding a new one it was daunting.We pulled the trigger on this, it arrived about 7 days after purchase, it was packaged great. I’m a handy guy so I installed it myself in about 40 minutes with nothing else needed but a simple fireplace kit from the hardware store.We love the controller, it makes things so smooth. The fire looks just how you’d want it, quite, doesn’t let off a bad smell, easy temp control… We are happy!
