Best pre-made thai curry paste
Nittaya is far and above the best brand of pre-made thai curry paste I've tried. The Masaman curry is a particular favourite. Another reviewer mentioned the colour bothers them. Any time I make this it turns out a reddish-brown, which is how it should turn out ... i think. Either way the taste & aroma are awesome!

Taste, genuine or not ?
I’m sorry to say that this paste on its own does not taste anything like the Massamman curry that I absolutely love from my local Thai restaurant. Now whether the restaurant taste is the genuine taste I don’t know but it’s lovely. My wife has bought all the other ingredients suggested in a recipe she found on line and that has improved the taste. I’ve got a kilo of this paste to use up!!!!! Luckily, although it doesn’t taste or smell like I hoped it would, using the extra ingredients makes it tastes okay 👍

Nittaya Thai Curry Masaman.
Once again like the penang curry paste the Masaman curry paste is too red in colour and does not look authentic compared to restaurant versions.

Normalerweise füge ich dem Thai-Gericht noch ein paar Spritzer Fischsauce extra hinzu. Das wäre bei dieser Paste wirklich zuviel des Guten. Fazit Es wird wohl bei einem Versuch bleiben - das Sparabo wird storniert. 2 Sterne = gefällt mir nicht
