As my macbook was running out of storage (256gb) due to office projects, I needed a sleek and portable external ssd,I already own a seagate 2tb ssd, 2.5inch but I wanted something with a smaller fingerprint,browsing through amazon I stumbled upon it, at this price range, (I got it around 8.5), it was a steal.Pros- Decent Transfer speed, using type c (thunderbolt or 20gb will give better results)- Unique sleek design, almost like a pendrive- Metal build with premium plastic caps- inbuilt Type C and USB A Support, one at each end, allows to connect fluently with mobile, macbook, laptop, desktop etc- no need to carry additional cable or be afraid of losing it,Cons- Heats a little when used with mac book, not sure if same case with other devicesI'd say go for it

This is nice and compact and works really fast with thunderbolt and USB 3 or higher ports. Else with USB 2 it takes hell lot of time. However, I am happy with this product as I use it with my MacBook which has faster USB hubs.

the product gets deformed after long hours of usage.Surely a design problem.Storage is good, quality not so, speed is too slow. Functionality is ok since it is small compared to other large SSDs. heat level is worst. Am using in Mac still didn't find it good, have to check compatibility with windows and android also.

It's easier and quicker to backup, transfer and manage data files from phone to pc and vice versa.The read write speeds are also top notch

Hi there dear Amazon Community. I hope that everyone is doing great. Today, I am going to share my thoughts on this Transcend SSD USB drive, which I bought few months back. I have used it a lot of times so far, and here is what I feel about it now.I have a couple of USB drives, but none is 1TB, so after searching through a lot of brands, I thought to give this Transcend SSD a try for the first time, and I am glad that I did.This little SSD has been real good and solid so far for keeping a lots of data on it and transferring data among my cell phones, my laptop and my PC.I don't usually pay any attention to the speed specs on any of such USB drives, as they all vary in speed due to different reasons. My PC supports only USB 2.0 ports, so I don't get the specified speed as the drive itself is USB 3.2, but when I plug it into my laptop with USB 3.0 ports, It becomes super-fast and just rocks. So, depending on your use and ports etc, you may get different results. So, no issues here.I use mine usually for storing and transferring movies, data files, and books etc.If you want to transfer 100GB or above at a time, just remember that almost all of these USB drives get very hot, and after a 100GB or so and the hot temp, these drives would slow down considerably, so I would recommend transferring about 70-100GB at a time, and then wait for sometime to let these drives cool down a bit...I am not specifying any brands here, as it is common for every drive I have used so far for transferring huge amounts of data.The hot temps and occasional slow-downs are not a big deal when you consider the convenience and small size and speed of this ssd stick.The outer shell on this drive looks and feels just like as if it's been made of metal, not plastic. Though it has the same size as a full length USB flash drive, it has a bit of weight which makes it feel more robust and sturdy.I also like the USB-C connection it has on one end. It becomes very handy when I need to transfer files among my cell phones and laptop by utilizing the USB-C ports available on these.The drive comes in a beautiful and secure packaging, which can be used to secure the drive again when you are done working with it. I always place back mine into its packaging when I am finished working with it.The caps on both ends fit-on snug. No issues there at all.So, the conclusion is that if you've been thinking about getting a fine USB data drive with huge space and latest design, just get it. You'll be glad and impressed. Modèle 1 ToAprès des déconvenues avec des clés USB, je cherchais quelque chose de la même taille mais fiable, avec une bonne vitesse d’écriture et lecture. Je me suis tourné vers les SSD portables.Les plus :- Taille, juste un peu plus long qu’une clé USB classique. Je n’ai pas trouvé plus petit en SSD portable.- Vitesse de lecture et écriture, il faut le matériel qui va bien pour l’exploiter pleinement !- Double connectique USB-A USB-C.- Pas besoin de câbles.Les moins :- Chauffe un peu. D’après les autres commentaires, elle peut chauffer beaucoup. Mais avec usage qui me semble normal, c’est tout à fait acceptable. Mesures faites dans une pièce à 20°, sans activité ~40°, lecture constante à 420 Mo/s, ~44°.- Les capuchons. Ils sont dissymétriques, mais la forme n'est pas la même sur les 2 faces, ce qui facilite un peu pour reconnaître au toucher le bon côté. Ils ne tiennent pas fermement, mais ça peut être amélioré en passant à l’alcool à brûler les connecteurs USB.Je n’ai pas constaté la partie ext4 informatable indiqué par KRUG Erwan, vérifié avec GParted. J’ai pu faire un reformatage complet sans problème.A part les capuchons un peu limite, c’est un excellent produit.
