Very nice product for use as a fire starter. Decent wind resistant. Compact, easily powered and can be recharged using solar. I like the goose neck extension as well as the useful LED light. Picked up several and toss one in the first aid and survival kits.

This is the second electric lighter I buy. I'm outfitting a daypack and assembling the necessary gear to mirror my deep hiking backpack. I've found that electric lighters are more dependable than the "Bic" lighters as they don't blow out with wind, work in wet conditions, and you don't have to worry about them being warm since the flame ones have a lot of trouble lighting when its near freezing. My other Plasma works great so I went to this company to buy it as this model is sold by several Chinese companies. The quality is good. It's robust and comes fully charged. I like the little gooseneck on this one so you can get it deep into the tinder bundle which makes lighting more dependable. I foresee no issues with this one and is EXACLY the same as the other one I have except for the extendable gooseneck. Good value, great technology. Keep your other lighter as a backup, but you'll find these are exceptional. Just make sure they are charged before you go out, but they don't discharge over time from what I can tell, but it's always good practice.

This is a very cool little gadget. It's light-weight, thin, sturdy, and versatile. The lid locks in place well, so it won't open in the pocket. I like the expandable, bendable neck - good for reaching tinder in a campfire and the occasional candle for the wife. It's not a dual arc lighter, but works just fine. It has a level indicator, so I know how charged it is. It charges fairly quickly with the decent, included cord and gives plenty of lights before needing a recharge. I like that it has a built-in flashlight with a decently-bright light (not sure of the lumens) - not some ultra-torch, but bright enough to light up the immediate area. I always carry a few sources of fire when I backpack. This is a nice addition to my EDC. I highly recommend it!

This is a great lighter. Very versatile, watertight, easily recharged. Looks great, easy to find if dropped. Is a great value.

I used this product for ice fishing starting gas mostly or even starting my furnace being it has a neck stretching extension. The whistle is quit probably useless. The over all battery life seems ok for what it is however I can tell by it's built I wouldn't trust it to last more than few years. The camo is nice look and the short cord for recharging is nice to get fast recharge. The other lighters with 2 arcs aka 4 prongs work better for lighting than this one with only 1 arch aka 2 prong but the 4 prong ones do not have neck extension so if your looking to light cigs get the other lighter of theirs which has 4 prongs. The flash light is a nice addition which was lacking in their older models now added makes a good feature to as often I use that small light to find things or comb around ice fishing since I need a lighter for gas anyways nice to have a flash light.
