Notice that I didn't say "fits perfectly." I changed both the hood and the front bumper at the same time, and I had a little trouble getting the two parts into agreement. Otherwise there was no problem. Given that they are complex plastic parts from different manufacturers, I have no complaint. I followed the advice of others to lay the old and new hoods side-by-side on a soft surface, which made it easy to tell where each part went. Now my 12-year-old X300 looks like new!

Yes, me again. Had to buy a new bumper for my JD X300 rider, 2009 also. Note-bumper goes on before grill. This aftermarket bumper did fit. It just snaps in but there is a gap on each end. Managed to get it centered and it did go on; gaps are not that noticeable but if I have to replace bumper again, I'll shop more. But it does fit. When my hood became way too broken along with the bumper, only parts surviving was the front grill (it's metal), hood hinges, and the JD side air vent parts. (yellow and say John Deere and they are metal also). However, it makes it look like I have a new mower, sort of. Remember, the bumper is necessary for the hood to rest on when you lift the hood. A reminder, everything is still plastic, so don't over tighten. Color was good! 4 stars instead of 5 because of the gaps I don't remember the original bumper (embossed with John Deere) had gaps.

My JD X300 was missing the bumper and my hood has some cracks in it but could not justify buy an original part so I gave this a try. Very happy with it. Would buy it again.

Doesnt fit the tractors the description states.
