Is this frozen at all? I was planning on trying to grow as an experiment

Hi, our Galangal is not frozen. It is flown in fresh from Thailand 2 to 3 times per week. If you place into some water covering about 1 to 2 cm you might find that it will start to shoot. You can then plant, but you will need to keep it somewhere warm. Regards Stuart

Tried it but failed, maybe my fault. Also experimented with ginger and turmeric, success

I wouldn't bother again

This came wrapped in plastic, which made it sweat! Just the veg & plastic in the packet, no box etc. Paper packaging would have been much better, together with details of how it should be stored!
