So I’m definitely and Igloo cooler kinda girl. Let’s face it they carry Sanrio themed coolers.I love it!! So I’v had my fair share of Igloo Ice packs over the past 10 year or so, and this ice packs by far gets and stays the coldest. I guess that’s why they call it the Performance Ice block. I purchased it for my husband, for work with his new Cleveland browns cooler and he absolutely loves it. When he comes home from work, the cooler has no melted ice in it! Keeps everything Ice cold all day and night!

These Igloo Ice Blocks were a great addition for my 4800 CFM air coolers!! Amazing endurance in the cooler! Major improvement in my air cooler performance!! I use 3 at a time and they last for hours cooling the water!! Amazing product that changed my cooler to what I was looking for!!

This thing is awesome! It stays cold for days! I bought it for a larger cooler which I ended up returning. It’s too big for the one I bought to replace it but it’s still cool that I didn’t want to return it. I now use it for pre-cooling.

This product really underserved. It has a hard time chilling metal containers when stored alongside them and doesn't make things cooler. This item just helped resist a temperature change from a lower temperature to a higher temperature. The item bulged upon initial freezing but did not do so upon consecutive freezes. It doesn't beat the cost of ice yet since I can get that free and will slow ice from melting when in a cooler. When someone in the reviews said that it would refreeze ice in their cooler, I am to believe it will do so. This did not come anywhere near close to doing so

The blocks work as intended. They are so big, we really can’t functionally use them in the dry bags to keep things cold. They have smaller versions for that. The thing that isn’t spoken about is the fact that the cooler should be precooled for these to do their best work. Meaning add some ice in your cooler the night before to cool it down. Add the ice packs to the cooler when you’re about to head out and you’re adding the drinks and additional ice. I emphasize that you want your food/drinks to be cold already before adding them to your cooler. This is the only way that these will help you stretch your ice. If you’re going to be out somewhere all day, this is what these were made for. Keep the cooler in shade and keep it closed as much as possible, and they will save the ice all day long. If you keep opening your cooler however, it’s going to greatly limit your temperature control.

It arrived and I immediately put it in my freezer while I waited for my new cooler to arrive. Once my cooler arrived, I pre cooled it for several hours with ice I made myself in cola bottles and recycled plastic meal containers I saved. After 3 hours, I removed my home made freezies and put in my new Igloo 6.5 lb (2 of them). Igloo doesn't say to precool but my cooler does. They stayed frozen for just over 3 days with me only opening the cooler twice a day for a short period of time to retrieve food for meals. I hadn't been camping since the 80's so I don't remember how that compares to just ice. I think this is perfect for long weekends camping, picnics, fishing, hunting. You couldn't put anything in, like drinks, that weren't already cold and expect them to become really cold. I'll get a lot use from these ice packs.
