This is definitely a very well made tripod, and so it should be for as expensive as it is. You will definitely see that this tripod is very good quality and very solid. Just use caution that this is the tripod that you would need with what you purchased due to a lot of the telescopes tend to be very shaky, with barely any effort. I gave this tripod itself a very high rating due to it's being very well made and being extremely solid stainless steel, well-thought-of when produced. If I were to change anything, it would be the hardware, the bottom of the legs to extend. It seemed like it was the weakest point as far as quality. Goes on the entire product. All in all, I feel that you get your money's worth with this particular tripod, and you're guaranteed that it will work with the same brand celestron telescope, at least the one that I purchased.

Strong, Sturdy and perfect fit for the Celestron StarSense Explorer DOB. The telescoping legs are thick and tightening clamp is easy and comfortable to turn. The telescope itself fits comfortably rests securely without rattling. Great addition to complement the telescope worth some money.

Very sturdy. Adjustable for height and I love that we can store lenses on it too. They're also seems to be a small table or platform in which we can set things on like a phone or other accessories to the telescope. I'm not sure if that was the intent of this platform but that's what we use it for. Great buy and well worth the price!

I definitely underestimated how solid this tripod was gonna be! It is a complete game changer for my dob! Saves my back and allows easy adjustments for the children to also have fun! Last night I was looking at Uranus at that distance there was pretty much zero shakiness.

I found this to be a very heavy duty stable tripod. Worked great in supporting my new Celestron 130 table top dob. I am sure it would be great for the 150 as well …

Fantastic for my DOB 6”! Extremely sturdy and useful!! Really recommend this one for the Starsense Explorer 150mm.

There are less expensive tripods available, but what's great about this one if that right out of the box, it mates perfectly with my 150mm "tabletop" dobsonian. The location at home where I can do my stargazing is sloped, and of course a tripod is a perfect solution to such a situation. It is very sturdy, which is important, as a wobbly tripod would introduce vibrations when looking through the eyepiece. Finally it elevates the telescope and reduces the amount of bending over that is necessary to view the sky through the eyepiece. Very satisfied with my purchase.

Have a table top telescope and use simple quick release clamps to attach scope to stand for outside use.
