LG Magic Remote MR23GN, 2023

Excellent replacement for a remote after the dog completely destroyed the original. It worked straight out of the box (after putting in the batteries) and is exactly like the original. There’s quite a lot of buttons on the remote and newer versions have voice assist which makes it easier to use. But it’s not a feature I am particularly interested in. I just needed a working remote and this ticked all the boxes, and at a much better price point that going to LG directly. Very happy with it.

Omg this remote is soooo good. I bought it because my fire tv was replaced by my insurance company with an LG TV. Great TV with the cheapest, nastiest remote like ever. Tiny buttons crammed into the bottom of the remote with loads of useless buttons taking up 3/4 of the remote. No voice control, horrible cheap feel of the buttons, felt cheap thin plastic in my hand, no voice control. I hated the TV on the grounds of the remote. Seriously you may think me crazy but I even considered buying another TV I hated the remote so much. Bought this one and it is sheer joy to use, so simple, feels really heavy and it's real quality build. I love it. I don't get why Anyone would dislike thus remote it's perfect unless they haven't actually bought the genuine LG remote but one of the many copies out there. I paid the extra for this one as I wanted the real thing. Just found out it operates the Sky Q box also altho the cursor doesn't work with Q everything else does

Bought to work with an LG TV that was advertised as compatible. Comes up with a message when connecting that it's not compatible, but works fine to control TV functions that we have used.!

Absolutely brilliant tv control. Very good value, easy to use with my LG 2025 tv, compared with the original supplied, this is first class. I would highly recommend this product if it is compatible with your tv. Thank you.

Works perfect even on my older lg cx oled, only the Disney shortcut doesn't work.

Excellent quality like for like replacement for a broken LG remote. Happy to purchase this original for a very reasonable price. Quite literally the same as remote it has replaced aside from one different quick access button. Remote instantly connected to LG oled A1 TV without any issues. Excellent quality and got our TV straight back to use. Very happy!

We purchased this to use with a 32 inch LG TV (comes with ordinary handset) and had no trouble hooking them up. It works as expected and is a great improvement. More challenging was then to reconfigure the whole set up so that this handset would also operate our Sonos Ray which only works via optical audio cable which does not easily hook up with this handset - as it is not an InfraRed handset. It can be done but we only managed it after watching a few YouTube videos and chats on the Sonos forum. If you are trying to do this - when you get to the bit where you are selecting the make of soundbar, we found that Sonos was not one of the choices offered. But we then guessed what to do and searched in this sort of search box on that page and entered the name Sonos with a capital S and ‘hey-presto’ up popped Sonos as an option. None of the online instructions mentioned this bit. Anyway you will definitely need to take advice on doing this as it is very far from intuitive. But now it all works perfectly and we are done !

Quite simply the worst, most irritating, infuriating remote I've ever had the misfortune of using. The pointer moves the second you click leading to clicking on the wrong things. If you try and use the direction ring instead, you end up activating the pointer anyway which leads to the same thing. Look to 3rd party remotes for any kind of quality and don't bother with this. The voice control is not worth it.

Despite carefully following the guide included, this item would not link to my LG Nanocell TV. There is no indication that it powered up when batteries were inserted - no lights or any response from the remote or the TV.
