No more missed deliveries
I bought this to stick on my front door and integrate with Home Assistant so I’d actually know when delivery drivers knock, because too many just ignore the doorbell and it was driving me nuts. Setup was super easy and it paired straight away over Zigbee with my hub, and since then it’s been reliable and consistent. The device supports adjustable sensitivity levels, so you can dial it in exactly for your use case, which I needed to do because at first it was a bit too eager and giving false alerts. Once I dropped the sensitivity down it settled right down and now only alerts when there’s a real knock or vibration. It also runs on standard AAA batteries with a long expected life, so maintenance is minimal, and you can build routines off the vibration events in Home Assistant without needing any extra apps. Overall, this has worked exactly how I hoped once I tweaked the sensitivity. Simple to set up, reliable, and a great way to get notifications when someone’s at the door without relying on the doorbell alone.

So far, so good.
I'm a Home Assistant user and I bought this sensor as I needed to transform the knocks or any vibration produced on my entrance door in sounds generated by my Tapo bell from my living room. I like this sensor for functionality and connectivity, I don't like it for size and quality. It uses 2 TV remote control batteries who seems to last longer than expected (one month of use and I'm still on 100%) The sensor has controls over its own alarm (who I found it as too annoying, so I deactivated it) and vibration sensitivity who are placed directly on its circuit board, so make sure you read/know what you are doing before playing with it. Quality - looks like a ex soviet era product - Bulky and massive. Jokes aside, this is in comparison whit the Shelly products/sensors that I'm using, or Philips hue ones. Regarding the quality and size, I'll give it 3 out of 5 stars because in 2025/2026 the size of this type of product should be at least 50% from the size of what I bought. It has, however, an exceptional accurate functionality and value for money, so I considered that this aspect shouldn't affect the overall feedback. Good compatibility and Ease of Installation - using a zigbee connection together with an Aeotec zigbee stick to a Raspberry Pi5 server. So far so good as in the posted video. 🤗

Top notch sensor
I was using an Aqara vibration sensor on my washing machine trough Homey Pro , but it was a little unreliable and wasn't really sensitive enough for my machine as it's super smooth and very little vibration. I've not used Third Reality sensors before, but heard good things about them. To their credit it's a top sensor, with manual sensitivity switches rather than software based in an app and it works perfectly. Set it to very sensitive and it picks up the slightest of vibrations. It connects straight to Homey Pro through an official app and connects effortlessly. Overall it's a top sensor and I would definitely recommend it

Works well with Alexa and Home Assistant (Routine advice included).
I didn't expect much. I've had this sensor for nearly two months and it has worked perfectly. My tumble dryer is in an attached brick shed and I often forget to check it (I don't use it often). It connected without a problem to Home Assistant, through that, it's connected to my Alexa speakers. When my tumble dryer has finished, Alexa gives me a voice announcement and my "alert lights" flash a certain colour (should I have my earbuds in or be in the shower etc) to let me know my dryer has finished. Initially, the routine that I had set up was too sensitive and I had unwelcome "The dryer has finished" notifications. To solve this I changed the automation to the following: The actual sensor is set to the highest sensitivity (I've not tried it on a lower setting). When sensor starts detecting motion for 10 minutes continuously (the 10 minutes prevents false alerts). Wait for a trigger. When sensor stops detecting motion for 30 seconds. Make an Alexa announcement, flash the lights (or whatever is your preference, text alert instead etc). The 30 second timer allows me to retrieve my washing before the "anticrease" cycle kicks in, which can go on for several hours. This is the only item I have from this brand, I'd be happy to buy more of their items from the performance of this sensor. I'm delighted with it and, no more forgotten laundry!

Partially working
Connected easily to my zigbee hub. Very small in size. The 110db siren doesnt work...makes a squeak. Vibrations do get picked up and i do get notified and this is the main reason i got it. Decided to return it as no siren. Wouldnt buy again as only 50% working.

Appears not to be compatible with Zigbee2MQTT or HA.
Appears to use proprietary Zigbee signalling that is not compatible with Zigbee2MQTT and Home Assistant. Enities appear in Zigbee2MQTt but does not show vibration events or battery level.

Essential for discovering finished Washing Machines.
I have this stuck on my washing machine. It's linked into Alexa through one of those old buttons Alexa hoped would begin a phase of family quiz-night fun but now you can only get them at CEX. So, when I click the button it enables a routine that listens to this vibration sensor. If it doesn't detect any vibrations for 20mins then it sends a message to announce the washing machine has stopped, and then disables its own routine. Took a bit of trial and error to get the sweet spot on a finished washing machine and the sensitivity of the sensor but it worked out famously! Got another one to announce when someone is knocking on the door and we can't hear them.

Put it on the washing machine to get a notification when it stops moving = is done.

Pros: 1. Good build quality. 2. Pairs easily (Hubitat hub) 3. Two AA batteries will provide good life. 4. Able to turn alarm on/off. 5. Good sensitivity to vibration and movement. Cons: 1 Absolutely no way the alarm is 110 dB. Not even over 80.

Bought to make my washing machine smart per se, and to use with ZHA via Home Assistant. Like other ThirdReality products, this vibration sensor paired with no problem, fast. The sensitivity control is inside the unit itself, so to test, I left the unit on the desk for a while to see how sensitive it picks up the vibration after pairing before actually putting on the washing machine. Picks up fine with Medium sensitivity, but still monitoring the patterns for fine tuning. Wish this sensitivity control was via HA rather than opening up this device if needed. This doesn’t hugely affect the rating of this product for me, but some may think this is a blocker. By default with this unit, the alarm option comes enabled. Or at least mine did. This control also is inside the unit and it will beep while pairing if forgotten to disable it. I can confirm, really confirm, that it is loud! Loud is great for an alarm, but had a little hard time disabling this with my finger while pairing and ultimately using small screw driver to disable (turn the switch off inside the unit) with tiny force as I did not need this functionality for my use. I can see that this can be totally useful when used for home security. This isn’t the first ThirdReality products I own, and all of them have been pretty reliable altogether. Firmware OTA update is pretty sweet, and all of their products had no problem after upgrades.

Recomendable
