I have bought and used many toasters over the years from the low end up to the high end in various price points.After experiencing pretty good results with Amazon Basics, I decided to give this a go.I can honestly say, this toaster completely blew my mind with it's performance and function, let alone being one of the least expensive toasters I have purchased.The only slightly negative I have, was the plastic out gassing smell it had out of the box. So, I ran it through the high setting about 4-times empty to burn off whatever cause the smell before toasting slices bread in it.This worked great and the smell went away.My toasting results on all settings have been perfect and have yet to burn a slice of toast.It is made pretty much mostly plastic, and I hope it lasts as good as it toasts.I highly recommend this toaster and would gladly purchase it again!

Amazon could not get the toaster I actually ordered but I am not unhappy with this Amazon Basic toaster. The only thing it doesn't have is a crumb tray at the bottom and I can live with that. It is quite nice and is very easy to use. I like this very economical toaster just fine. Good substitution.

On average these have lasted about 18 months for me and then failed in someway. The latest one stopped toasting the bread on one side after 18 months. But I like them well enough to keep buying them. This is my third one in five years.

Perfect, best purchase this year! Smaller foot print and easy to find space. Giant slots for bagels and craft sourdough bread. Browns more evenly than the expensive brand that just failed. Love the black color with chrome on the top and brushed chrome on the end. Even with the big slots, it does regular bread excellent - regular bread is held in place evenly and steady. The toast on the sourdough and bagel was even - controls let you nuke it, sometimes necessary with sourdough, or a soft touch toast like regular grocery bread. Love the controls, the cancel button is lite red - easy to interupt cycle without guessing where the button is. Only slight drawback is the cord does not detract like our old one. Small issue I guess. Great value, feels like I actually stole something - how can price be that low. Just buy it, thank me later.

Love this toaster. Came with one of the metal stickers for the handle off of it but we found it and stuck back on.I like the 2-3 settings on whole wheat Aspen Mills bread (homemade style bread with whole wheat honey, salt and etc) Gives it a good crunch without burning. The bread slices are tall and the toaster is deep which is good for toasting even taller bread slices. The toasting is not perfectly even in its browning, but it works great since I don’t care about that.

This toaster works great! I like how I can cook my husband’s bagel in one side and my toast on the other side. Cuts down on wait time, they both done at the same time.I like all the different settings, the toaster knocks it oyt of the part with style, uses, settings, price and how durable it is.Fits into any kitchen style. Doesn’t get hot on the outside nor does it mess up my countertop. Thus is really nicely mad and it has a nice black color and it don’t stink when making, toast, bagel or English muffins. Son even tried a toaster in it said cooked it perfectly on 3.I like how it’s not super heavy and easy to move. Crumbs stay in toaster till you empty tray, they don’t end up on counter. Nice durable material, wipes up nicely. I like how you can cook so many different items in it.Highly recommend this toaster for quality, appearance and price and its use to cook 4 items not 2, plus its numerous settings are great.

When it works; it works well.For those who say it stopped staying down, keep reading.I used this toaster maybe six times before it stopped holding down. I stopped using it for a bit and then decided to take it apart to see what I can do. Turns out, the metal plate the electromagnet grabs, is either about 0.5-1mm too small, or the tabs that hold it are too long. After bouncing up when the toast is done, there's a chance it falls back over the pivot and slips out under the hold tabs. This makes the plate unable to sit level and attach to the magnet to hold the bread carriage down. I've attached images of the problem.A quick fix; you can attempt to pick up the toaster, lean it back, and shake it to make the metal plate fall back into position. Otherwise, a more permanent fix is to disassemble the toaster, and very, very gently fold the tabs down so they wrap under the plate a little and prevent it from shaking out of position. This requires a triangle bit, there's five screws on the bottom. Also pulling the handle off the front is difficult, but doable. Just make an even, hard pull. There's a single cable going to the controls on the front with a push-down lock. Remove that and take the top off the toaster, then push the tabs down as in my images.tl;dr Design flaw, shake the toaster to fix temporarily. Otherwise, decent toaster.

UPDATE: It DOES WORK! I didn't order a new toaster until today, but I had not thrown away this one. When I tried to use my can opener, it didn't work! Why are my appliances dying at the same time? So I checked the red button on the outlet. It was not pushed in! I pushed it in, and the can opener worked, so I pulled this toaster out of trash can and tried it. It works perfectly! Now, what will I do with the Black and Decker toaster ordered today? I will now change my grade of 3 stars to 5 stars, meaning it's a very good value for the cost. Sorry!Original review: I bought this basic toaster almost 6 months ago. Just yesterday, I bragged about the fact that it does its job and is a great value for the money. Yes, one side of the bread gets toastier than the other side, but it wasn't a deal breaker. Until today. The bread slots will not stay down to toast. I thought maybe it has too many crumbs in it, so turned it upside down and shook it. No, that was a problem. It's a 6-month toaster to hold you over until you can afford a better product. Too bad.

Amazon 2 slice Toaster is EXCELLENT in design & most importantly it TOASTS bread EVENLY & so far it does not burn the bread. I am SO HAPPY & HIGHLY RECOMMEND this AMAZON 2 slice toaster. I do not know who the mfg. is but someone GOT IT RIGHT. I purchased 10 toasters, some were returned to CDN Tire, one I threw in the garbage I was so upset. I am returning the Hamilton-Beach as it BURNS the bread & sets the SMOKE DECTORS OFF. Amazon toaster is affordable, so COSTLY/PRICEY appliances don't always WORK.

Très on grille pain, j’avais vue que certains disait qu’il prenait du temps, pour ma part je trouve le temps de cuisson tres raisonnable, les pains sont grillés uniformément à chaque fois.Je le trouve élégant et tiens bien en place. J’apprécie que ce soit un tiroir en arrière pour les grains et non une porte qui ouvre parfois toute seuleSincèrement je le recommande, excellent produit pour le prix.
