Not compatible with OEM charger
I gave this product one star only because I couldn't figure out how to give it a lower score. This product is supposed to be a direct replacement for the Bose 40229 battery. It is not a direct replacement. It will not charge in the Bose OEM direct plug in charger. One you use up whatever amount of charge is in the battery upon arrival, it is not chargeable and is of no use. DO NOT BUY if you have the OEM charger.

New Batteries will not charge in old style charger
If you have a very old-style battery charger that plugs directly into the 110 v outlet when charging the battery, you may have to buy a new style charger with a detachable power cord as well. I ordered a set of replacement batteries from two different suppliers and none of them would indicate that they were charging when plugged into my old charger. They would power up the headphones though. I bought a new style charger and they all charged OK and worked fine when installed in the headphones. There must be a very slight dimensional difference in the two chargers even though they look the same! Also, the new batteries from ElXJAR had the part number label on the front side of the battery and it would not fit in the charger, you have to peal it off and put it on the rear side of the battery!

Works perfectly!
Looks just like the original battery. I was able to charge them on my original Bose charger with no issues. They fit perfectly into the charger and headphones. Used both new batteries on over 20 hours of flights and neither battery ran out after over 12 hours of use each. I don't know how long they would have lasted beyond that but they work great so far.

Compatible with Bose QC3
So far this product has been working fine. It is compatible with Bose QC3 as this is what I have. Also, need to charge these batteries before use.

work fine in Bose on ear headphones
Worked great on our Bose headphones where we lost the original battery on a flight. Haven't used on shorter flights so the time length hasn't been challenged.

Complete junk - wouldn't charge in BOSE charger!
Complete junk. Bought a 3 pack and not one of them would charge. Junk!
