Budget multipedal
Impressed, its cheap so I wasn't really expecting much but its very good for the money. I bought it for practice use in the house so havent 'gigged' it. The compressor and pre amp is very useful, the fuzz less so but still not too shabby. Octave is great think I will use this a lot to 'thicken' the sound. Metal cased and decent footswitches. Yep money well spent ( unlike my zoom B3 😀)

MASSIVE sound
Just before the review. I've been a professional for many many years. I'm a veteran of literally thousands of gigs and hundreds of recording hours. My current rig is Markbass, Musicman, Warwick, ESP and Ibanez Premium. I have a fully cased pedalboard but a hankering to travel light. Some of the reviews of this are unflattering and might lead me to question just how much experience the writers have with kit and the real world. From my perspective I was really bowled over. I expected a flyrig to sit in my case for rehearsals where there was a studio amp available, as a backup for short festival slots where I could just DI out and possibly for pit band work. I'm now looking at some of the pedals on my main board with fresh eyes just because of the quality coming from this TINY box. The compressor is really transparent and sounds natural, the boost is a useful option (P'raps for the above DI as an "always on" option?), but not needed. It knocks spots off the Ashdown dual band compressor that's in a cupboard somewhere. Fuzz on bass isn't really my thing, but at a pinch with the sustain backed right off it hits nasty overdrive well. One thing that it does do is to nail the old Big Muff sound. The preamp is a diamond. Again the DI gig would be happy with the tone-shaping which really does sound like an amp. On a more real-world situation it's great to be able to add a driven Ampeg sound on the songs that need it. One great thing is that both the fuzz and the preamp react really well to volume changes from the bass so cleaning up is always an option. I habitually run the bass on half volume to preserve dynamics later down the chain and a pristine to grind transformation is really easy to achieve which just adds versatility. The Octave section is, in my opinion, really good. It tracks down to the B on a five string without glitching. Turn up the direct, octaves on half and the compressor keeping things tidy and the tracking and sound is better than my OC3 (which cost double what the whole soundbar costs). Noise floor is very low unless you dime the drives, construction solid and just too cute for words. If I could suggest anything for the mark II it would be a 9v output to drive a pedal in the loop and some sort of tuner, especially since that's going to be the essential either in the loop or in the front end. But that is that. On the whole I'm more than delighted and am thinking of buying a second to sit on my main board and run the other pedals in the loop. Great bit of kit.

Sonicache! Good while it lasted, which wasn't long...
Sounded really nice but I didn't try and set it up properly in my rig as the on/off toggle for the compressor section only worked intermittently. This made it useless for live stage use. I would have taken a replacement but Amazon didn't offer me one so I guess I'll shop around and see what else is out there. Update: After getting a refund I got a second unit to give it a go. Hey, maybe the faulty one was a one off? Well the second one has just packed up as well. No more Soincache for me. If I could drop to zero stars I would.

Lots of functions in one pedal
Useful and compact pedal with several functions in the one unit. Has had a lot of use with no issues.

The best sounding pedal at this price great value
Like the pre amp sounded fantastic as did all the other effect. A chorus would be nice but the may make a model with this option. Highly recommended

Value for money
I returned the Sansamp unit (too pricy for the quality) and bought this instead. It is very good value for money and has a better Octaver than the Sansamp unit. The preamp is just about Ok and the compressor is OK, plus it's easy to use for live playing.

Sweet bit of kit
Prior issue resolved direct with Sonicake (rare for a seller to be so communicative - big plus) - I'm a bit in love with this pedal - a wide range of effects are possible and it feels solidly built. Also comes with a power supply!

Five pedals in one; great for bass and really great for guitar
I have a P-bass that I used to play in a band with about a decade ago, but it hasn't seen much use since then. That all may change now that I have this pedal. I wanted to get some basic effects to make bass playing fun again, but I didn't want to have to sell a kidney or take out a second mortgage to do so. Pedals can be insanely expensive, so I wanted a multi-pedal that was quality but inexpensive. After some research, I found this pedal, and I am glad I did. It has octave, preamp, fuzz, boost, and a compressor. It like a nice space-saving brick with four sturdy push buttons, which is great if you need to save space on your board or just don't want to have a billion different cables and power cords. The more simple I can keep my rig, I find the more fun it is and the more I want to play. Right out of the box, I noticed it was in quality packaging, not like some of the other stuff I order from China. That is always a good sign and bodes well for the brand. It comes with its own power supply which is actually UL rated surprisingly. Most pedals I order from overseas don't even come with a power supply at all. It also has a helpful guide as to what all the effects and buttons do if you are not familiar with pedals yet. I first tried out the boost, and really dug it. It's like a nice clean boost that easily gives you 10 to 20 db. I also like that it is a simple one knob. I next tried the compressor, and was pleasantly surprised. I wasn't expecting much at this price point, but the compressor actually worked as well as other units I've had that were more expensive. The more you turn up the knob, the more it evens out your sound so that soft and loud playing are at the same level. Very useful for bass. The fuzz is pretty wicked awesome, and is probably the most fun effect. At lower levels, it gives you a nice vintage "Spirit in the Sky" type sound, and it higher levels, it sounds very metal or hard rock. Good versatility overall. The preamp, I've got to say, is probably worth it alone. It really gives a nice color to the town, it is like an on-board EQ. Plus you can also add gain; something I found very useful. The preamp really improves the signal and warms it up a lot. The octave effect was also very fun to play with and, I think, quality. You can do one octave below or two octaves below. It's nice that it has a mix knob as well. Perhaps the biggest surprise to me, was how awesome this pedal sounds with my guitar. I have a metal/shredding type guitar, and I hooked it up to this pedal just for the heck of it to see if it would work. Man, was I blown away! I almost feel like they should market this is a guitar pedal instead since it is equally suited to both. The boost and comp work awesome on my guitar, and the fuzz sounds decent. The octave is also good on guitar, but the preamp perhaps is the best. I could dial in a really killer classic rock type of sound using the preamp section. TL/DR: Great build quality and great sound and effects at an affordable price. Very versatile and great for bass or guitar. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent
This is a great multi-fx for bass. It’s not only well built but the preamp and three effects all sound great. If you are a bassist in the market for either a preamp or any of the three included effects, I recommend this unit. It feels like I just received 4 pedals for the price of 1 or 2.

Buen combo.
