WIFI Issue. Had to change router settings.
I like some others couldn’t get this light to connect to my wifi using Alexa. And YES, it needs wifi regardless what some have said. But it should get the password from Alexa from when you set up your Echo. If it asks you over and over again for your wifi password during setup, but then fails, your router settings may need changed. At first I couldn’t connect this bulb. After I gave up I then tried to connect a Ring camera and I had the same issue. Ring wouldn’t connect to my wifi. This bulb needs a 2.4GHz connection on your wireless router. Ring’s troubleshooting helped me. I made three changes to my settings. I simplified my 2.4GHz ID and Password. Took out all special characters. Only used numbers and uppercase and lowercase characters. Third thing I changed, and what I believe solved my problem, was that I changed my router channel from “auto” (which at the time it was using channel 2) and I switched the channel setting to “6”. Per Ring’s help guide, it suggested using channels 1, 6 or 11. Also, before I made these changes I had switched my Echo from the 5GHz connection to the 2.4GHz connection. After making those three changes the Sengled light bulb connected using the Alexa app and never asked for wifi connection or password. It was automatic. My Ring connected also after changing my router settings. I hope this helps someone else.

Nice light bulb that changes color
This Light Bulb is a solid smart bulb with easy setup and reliable performance. The instant pairing worked smoothly for me, and it connected to Alexa quickly without any frustration. Brightness is great at 800 lumens more than enough for everyday use, and the color options are vibrant and fun for different moods. I also like that it supports Matter, which adds some future-proofing across smart home platforms. The only downside is that color transitions can feel a bit slower compared to higher-end smart bulbs, and advanced customization options are somewhat limited. Works Well, But Watch Your Network Settings!
I was initially skeptical about this bulb, but it works. My only complaint is that if there is a power outage while the bulb is off, it does not remain off when the power returns. I experienced this when I was away for weeks on separate occasions and returned to find the light on. When I moved to a new apartment, I set up my Alexa without issues. The bulb initially connected but later showed as unresponsive in the app. I tried everything—moving it closer to the router, multiple resets—but nothing worked. I was about to toss it when I decided to check the reviews and discovered that the issue wasn't with the bulb but with my network settings. For this bulb to connect via Alexa, it must be on the same network as Alexa and use a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection (not 5 GHz). Additionally, some routers have a feature that places wireless devices on a separate virtual network, which prevents proper communication. After disabling this feature, the bulb connected without any issues. In the end, the problem was not the bulb but my network configuration. I will be purchasing a few more.

Do not trust the Warranty--they will NOT HONOR IT! SAVE YOUR MONEY!
Here’s a strong Amazon review that tells the truth without sounding messy or emotional: **Do not trust the 3-year warranty** I have 16 Sengled light bulbs, and they have been nothing but a headache. These bulbs are extremely hard to reconnect, and now many of mine will not work with the Alexa app at all. The biggest issue is that Sengled claims they have a 3-year warranty, but in my experience, they do not stand behind it. I have gone back and forth with them for almost 3 years. They have responded to me before, so they know this has been an ongoing problem. Now that the bulbs will not work and there is no app that properly connects them, they will not help me or do anything to make it right. I now have 16 Sengled bulbs that do not work the way they should, and the company has not honored what they advertise. If I could give this zero stars, I would. I would not recommend Sengled smart bulbs to anyone. Save yourself the money, time, and frustration. I’d use **“Do not trust the 3-year warranty”** as the review title. That hits hard and gets straight to the point.

Hurry and buy ✨
I was having issues at first but because it’s a newer model you have to connect to the home app instead of the Sengled app. Very affordable and my room is such a vibe. Easy installation. Even better price.

Connectivity issues
I have had these bulbs for about 6 weeks now. They work alright. The colours are great, the dimming is great. My one complaint is that I use them with my Alexa, and at least once a day Alexa is unable to connect to the lights. This is especially annoying when I’m in bed and I try to turn them off and they are not reachable. So, when they are connected to Alexa, they work great. If not, which unfortunately feels like most of the time, then they are an annoyance. I typically either have to unplug and replug the lamp to reset it, or manually turn the light on and off which sometimes works to reset it.
