Quality hardware
Good finish snd very robust. Using to make diy slings.

Good quality. Mostly non magnetic.
The coating seems robust. The unit is sturdy and it appears to be mostly non magnetic (which may help with less rust and/or less interference if you are doing navigation or compass work). The spring is also pretty strong. So overall a good product.

Cam is a sketchy term here
If you think of cams as having gradually changing arcs like an egg or a snail shell or the lobes of a crank shaft, these aren't "cam" buckles. The teeth which grip the strap are ground into a flat surface on the release. The release also sticks out from the buckle at an obtuse angle when a strap is in its grip. This will make it prone to snagging on other gear. Snagged release = strap slippage. 6Aug2024 revision Works horribly with tubular 1" webbing. Way too much resistance to adjustment in either direction.
