Yes, you can. It will work for an iPhone as well as for an iPad.

Can I use this memory stick to plug in my tv to view photos I’ve took of my phone

I couldn’t to get it to work, I think some settings have to be changed first

Windows 10 needs an extension download to transfer view photos/ video taken on iPhone 12mini, does this get around that problem ?

I’m not too sure! Our old Mac (2010ish) didn’t have enough memory to update & this got around it. Very easy to save to USB stick and insert to IPhone 11 in my case to either store or email/share with others. I hope this helps
