Strobe Beacon Warning Light for Trucks, 12-24V LED Round Amber Emergency Flashing Rotating Safety Hazard Light for Roof, Work Truck Trailer (2)

I have both the white version and the so called red version although the red one that when lit up actually looks more orange. The light lenses are 2-1/2" diameter with an additional 1/8" flared bottom making the base 3" in diameter, and 1" tall with an additional 1/2" black base making the light a total 3" tall. There are two bolt studs on the bottom for mounting that protrude 1/2" below the base. The wires exit the bottom of the light and appear to be sealed well however they are offset from center but there is enough hollow area under the base to be able to adjust to your drilled opening under the mounting point if needed. They allow your choice of flashing or a rotating pattern operation by choosing the specific colored wire of if you want you can wire a SPDT switch in order to keep both options. I had hoped they would be much brighter but they simply are not that bright. The lights are visible from the sides as well as the top but again the 4 leds inside really are not that bright. I think this is more due to the fact there was no reflective inserts designed into the housing than the actual leds themselves. They can be viewed from the top and sides so they can be mounted vertically or horizontally. The red version is actually more visible from the top so a vertical mounting would be better. The white version appears to be a little brighter so either mounting would work however again overall not that bright. They can be an option to give something a bit of light that may catch attention simply by having a bit of motion to it but I would not use these as a sole source of vehicle protection. I think these would be best suited for a game room or adding that fun little option to the kids ride-on toy etc.

The video that is shown in the listing I feel like is a little deceptive with their lighting situation. The LEDs simply are not that bright, where the video seems to show this in dark lighting/adjust contrast. Additionally these must be wired for their function as well - meaning you can't easily switch it unless you wire in your own switch. These are why I marked them down 2 stars.

These are super tiny. Maybe only an inch and a half in diameter but they're not very bright. I do like the multiple functions but you have to select it ahead of time or have a selector switch that sucks between the two different ones. I just wish they are brighter
