Flimsy but effective, good adhesive. Hours of relief
I have been using these for months, I get the brand Lidoderm patches from my doctor, however even with insurance they are terribly expensive so I only get one box per month. I use these to supplement the brand patches, you can use 3 at a time as long as it’s 12 hours on - 12 hours off & you experience no skin irritation. The Amazon patch is surprisingly effective for the price point, as with all the generic lidocaine patches they’re 4 % instead of 5% lidocaine but I still get quite a bit of relief. It’s much thinner and flimsier than the brand and flops all over when you try to apply it. The saving grace is that the liner is split down the middle to help prevent it folding in half and sticking to itself. It still happens but it’s usually manageable. It will hurt, and possibly bruise, if you try to yank it off too soon because the adhesive is strong. If you need to remove it early just get it wet, it will make a slimy mess but will eventually slide off. I have included these in my arsenal of non narcotic pain relief, don’t want to go back to that if at all possible. They can be cut to size, and give some basic numbing relief for hours. To apply it in the easiest way possible, give a gentle tug to either side while holding in both hands, the liner will split and make it much easier to apply. Definitely worth a try for muscle and/or joint pain. Don’t do well with sweat, so skip wearing while doing anything strenuous that will cause you to sweat profusely. Otherwise I highly recommend!

works great and is soft
these stay on for a full 12 hours, they're very cold when you first put them on. they work and will numb the spot they are on and a little around that area as well. I'm using them to help with nerve pain post spinal fusion as recommended by my doctor and have been pleasantly surprised. they work just like the ones in the hospital. the exterior is soft as well. doesn't pull on my hair too badly but I'd recommend making sure to not put on a hairy spot. I get some skin irritation to the adhesive but I feel like that's the case for any adhesive.

Delivers
This work well. Deliver the lidocaine to my neck. The only con is the uneven adherence. Not every one in a box but hit or miss as to how well they stay on over night. Did all the usual, cleaning etc to no avail. Overall a good product.

Medication is good functionality not so much
The medication portion of this is effective as brand name. However it's functionality is not quite as good. The adhesive doesn't stay as well through the night or the day it tends to pull up. And how you take it apart where you are supposed to be able to pull apart the film and take one half the film off before you apply it, that doesn't work at all. It doesn't break apart and you have to pull it down and put the top part on your arm get that adjusted if you can without getting all stuck up, and then pull the film off. A little annoying that's why I gave it only 3 stars

Great find!
I purchased these lidocaine patches hoping they might help ease the pain in my upper arm while it heals from a fracture. To be honest, I was a little skeptical and wasn’t sure they would make much of a difference. I’m happy to say I was wrong. These patches have provided noticeable pain relief and have made me much more comfortable throughout the day. They are easy to apply, stay in place well, and help take the edge off the aching and soreness. Having some relief without having to constantly reach for additional pain medication has been a huge plus.I’m extremely grateful that I decided to give these a try. They have worked much better than I expected, and I will continue using them for pain relief as long as I need to. Overall, this was a great find and an excellent value

Good pain relief, not so good adhesive
I have received no remuneration of any kind from the seller, or associates. No coupons, or promises of a refund, no free product for a review, or any other type or kind. I have no connection with the company whatsoever except as a purchaser. I am not connected by friendship, marriage or business with the seller or their associates. I paid for this product with my own money and I am giving my honest opinion about the product and the retailer. Let me say, first of all, that generally speaking I am usually very satisfied with Amazon Brand products. This is the first time I have been even slightly disappointed with the quality of any of the Amazon Brand products I have purchased. I have purchased 2 different brands of 4% lidocaine patches this week. Amazon Basic Care Maximum Strength Lidocaine Patches come in behind the other brand. I need to use 2 patches on my knee shin area. I have a leg injury and about half my pain is nerve pain. The patches do work very well to relieve pain. But they won't stay stuck, and it is an aggravation to have to keep plastering them back down. The Amazon patches ARE effective pain relievers, and the pain relief does last a good long while. But! The adhesive leaves a lot to be desired. The other brand stayed stuck until I took it off. The adhesive on the Amazon brand starts coming unstuck at the sides and corners. I have to keep plastering it back down. It's a definite aggravation. The adhesive gel is not as thick, and not as sticky, as the other brand. Having said that, the Amazon brand has better pricing, you get more patches for your money, and they are effective pain relief. Just be aware that these patches tend to start peeling off long before 8 hours, much less the up to 12 hours claimed on the box. They would be better suited for someone that isn't going to be moving around a lot. If that is an aggravation for you. Try another brand.

Expert User - What you need to know
Lidocane Patches are fantastic for excess pain that is localized. I have been using the pricey prescription "Lidocane Brand" for over 10 years. The difference is 5% vs. these are 4%. These Amazon ones are a good price for generics. They are very good at isolated pain issues like back or neck pain for up to 12 hours. NIGHT USE: However, the adhesive on any brand of these patches can give away due to excess sweating, rubbing especially at night when you turn in your sleep they can roll off. Pro Tip: If they do come off, the solution is you add tape to the two long edges. The best tape is DU RAPORE because it stays put and does not tear at your skin when removing. Trust me, the tape type matters. Some of the paper tapes rip the skin. You can buy a box of 12 economically. If it's a highly sensitive skin area or hair, you can remove these tape adhesives with any kitchen oil. The key is placing the tape 1/3rd on the patch and 2/3rds on the skin. Another Pro Tip is have a larger than needed undershirt you wear as a night shirt. It's important to have cloth over the patch so friction won't 'roll' the patch off when moving about in your sleep. I inspect the t-shirt in the morning and again before popping them in the wash, because patches can stick to the cloth. If it's in the washer and you don't catch that, the patch will be intact but slimey. I use a fresh t-shirt nightly and wash them all seperately for the week . Lidocane is easily washed off your hands and it won't hurt you to touch it. Just wash your hands right away. If you are applying to the back of your neck, I take a really long Durapore Tape down the center of the patch and another strip of tape just along the bottom of the patch. Cleaning off the area for the patch is helpful for best stick-ability. DAY USE: You can probably not need tape if its on your back or buttox. For neck use you will need the tape. We move our necks too much for just the patch adhesive to work. FINAL TIP: You can cut these. I use a half strip for my neck or one on each side of the buttox following pain paths.

Pain patch worthiness
I needed to use pain patches on my lower back. Not a fan of salon pass or other gel patches. These are great. Only they lose their stickiness after 8 hours even through they are a 12 hour pain patch. But I like them and subscribe to have them delivered. I can carry to an event in purse. Easy application. No side effects.
