Ulka Model E water pump, type EP5, output: 48W, original

Bought this to repair a friend's Delonghi Magnifica which suddenly stopped working. I was a bit surprised the pump had failed because it sounded normal when I switched the machine on. Easily diagnosed by disconnecting the valve on the output side and seeing if any water comes out when you run the pump. I also checked the filter and flow meter to see if they were blocked. The pump swap is quite easy, with just three tubes and two electrical connections. The pump is just held in place with two rubber mounts. One of the electrical connections incorporates a thermal sensor which was glued in place on the old pump. It was easily removed and I secured it in place on the new pump with a hot glue gun.

Refitted to a 2011 Gaggia Classic. Easy to do. Follow several 'How to' videos on You-tube for guidance. My initial problem was the pump was making its usual pumping noise but no water out of the group head or the steam wand. Took me 1 hour to change. Now fully working with the new pump and better than before.

Perfect replacement pump for a Gaggia Classic and excellent value too. No problem to fit and worked first time.

Although I had to take the water pipe fitiing from the old pump and fit it to the new pump. This worked a treat and now my Gaggia Classic is back to working like new.

Easy Replacement to a European 230V, Gaggia Classic. Important Note: before disconnecting any cables from the pump, you better take a picture of the colors of the cables and their place. Videos on you-tube, or service manuals on internet mainly show 110V Gaggia, which has different cabling and colors

Easy to fit into our gaggia classic and seems to be more powerful than our previous replacement pump. Excellent build quality and good value.

Good product

Pump was purchased as a replacement for a Delonghi Magnifica coffee machine. Arrived swiftly and was well packaged. It was a fairly simple job to fit, 3 pipes and 2 electrical connectors to transfer from the old pump. Took about 40 mins to fit and test

Installed and the coffee machine started working again.
