Pricey but they work.
Just pay the $$ and get over it. I now have three of these; permanent tool kit, range bag, and safe queen spare. They work fine even though you'll have to get used to the "flex". After the initial opening I use a small amount high quality, conductive, never-seize on the cap threads for my RMR's and scopes. Saves down the road problems.

Good tool if used correctly
This does what it is supposed to do - remove and replace battery cap without marring the Trijicon optic. Some have complained their tool has failed during use. If this has happened, then the battery cap was installed too tight. Refer to the instruction manual for the optic. If the battery cap was installed too tight then you may need to get it started with a coin, screwdriver ... then avoid over tightening when replacing the cap. I bought this so I will not complain about the price. The tool probably cost less than $1 to manufacture.

Even though I Love my Trijicon SRO 2.5 MOA
This tool is Junk. 1rst time battery change twisted the handle and disfigured the tool ( and no it didn’t slip out ) and No Loose Battery Cap. Had to go to the shop for a thick tip screwdriver. This isn’t Amazon Fault it’s the on the Maker of the Tool. What a waste of money. Save your Money
