I absolutely love this ice maker! It’s very convenient and easy to use, and it makes ice quickly. The size is perfect for the countertop without taking up too much space. I also love having fresh ice whenever I need it instead of constantly having to refill ice trays. It’s simple to operate, works great, and is perfect for everyday use, parties, or having extra ice available for drinks. I’m very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it!

We absolutely love this Silonn ice maker. It made the first batch of ice within 6 minutes and hasn’t stopped. We bought this one because it makes the bullet ice (the kind with the hole in the middle) and it doesn’t melt as fast as the nugget ice, that our daughters have, but if your an ice cruncher like me it’s still very easy to crunch. We also like the front handle on the ice basket which makes it so handy when you have to fill the water, you can hold the basket in one hand keeping it over the bucket, so you don’t get water everywhere, and fill it up. It’s not large so it fits nicely on the counter, it’s approximately 9”wide, 11”deep, 11”high, and holds 40oz. of water. It also comes with an ice scooper which fits in the basket handle or you can hang the scoop on the hook that is provided to hang on the side of the machine and it has a water plug on the bottom so it can be emptied after the self clean mode is run. It has a handle that you attach so you can lift the ice maker to where you want it, which is very convenient. I checked a lot of reviews on here and google before deciding on this one and they were all very good. We highly recommend this ice maker.

We bought this because we needed a bigger ice maker. The ones we had prior worked fine just did not make enough for our household needs. Set up was quite easy. It takes 1 gallon of water to fill. That last quite awhile in our house. It makes alot of ice. It is pretty big but we made it work for us. It isnt to loud. All in all it looks good and works great!

I bought this countertop ice maker because our fridge version had stopped working right when the weather first started to get warm and we needed more ice on hand. It is a fine example of the genre — reliable, quiet, etc. and I would recommend this item AS LONG AS YOU UNDERSTAND THE MANY LIMITATIONS IN HOW THIS MACHINE — and all others like it — ACTUALLY WORK. 1. They do NOT keep cubes that have fallen into the bin cold. That means these cubes will start to melt almost immediately unless you transfer them to a freezer ASAP. 2. This unit makes just 9 cubes at a time. It takes about an hour to process all the water you’ve put in if you fill it to the “Max Fill” line. 3. The first 1-2 batches of cubes are always undersized, esp. the very first one. That’s because it takes a cycle of two for the workings to become cold enough to produce full-size cubes. 4. Because the cubes are formed around little rods, all the cubes have holes in the center. This makes them melt a lot faster in drinks, etc. than regular cubes from a fridge ice maker, etc. 5. Because newly made cubes need to be removed ASAP, making ice requires you be around and vigilant for the full hour+ it takes to process all the water. 6. One “Max Line” cycle produces enough ice to just half-fill your typical refrigerator ice maker bin. I’m retired and these processing / output issues aren’t that big of a deal for me. But if you have a busy life / family, you may not be able to babysit the process so easily and should bear that in mind before buying. Anyone thinking this is a great solution for parties should also be aware that someone needs to tend to the process — and that you should probably make as much of your needed ice ahead of time. I personally always use the “Large” cube setting, fill to the Max line, and then toss the first batch or two into the sink. Once the cube-making gets acceptable, I transfer to the freezer every two cycles (or 18 cubes), and try to shake out every drop of accumulated water from the bin beforehand — because the wetter the cubes are, the more likely they are to lock into big clumps in the freezer. In summary, this Silonn Ice Maker is a fine example of the genre. I am happy overall with it, and it has certainly provided a grateful us with enough ice to get us through the weeks, etc. It’s just that the genre itself is rife with limitations that aren’t immediately apparent, so I hope this detailed review will prove helpful to others.

***UPDATE #2***Customer Service is EXCELLENT! I sent the information they needed and they are replacing the unit with the upgraded version. I don't have to send this one back, which is a major plus. Maybe I did get a lemon, but they're making lemonade for me and I could not be more pleased! ***UPDATE #1*** Unfortunately, after three months, the machine did what all the others have done - LOUD screeching and stopped making ice. It was cleaned weekly and only distilled water was used to make ice. I'm trying to get the company to back this product and we will see what happens. - - - - - - - - - This is my FOURTH ice machine! I've had the super expensive ones (twice) and this one is by far my favorite! It's a little loud but a small price to pay for ice that's as close to Sonic ice that you can get! Love it!

Great price, and after the "let it sit for 24 hours" it took off and has been very fast and dependable.

This machine does make good ice and it is pretty quick. The ice bin is very small and gets clogged easily which prevents it from filling up with the ice. If the machine had a larger ice bin or a better design, I would give it 4 stars. I bought this because our 2 larger refrigerators have ice makers that are horrible and I wanted something better. I wanted to make a bin of ice and put it into gallon freezer bags, lay it in our freezer. When fully frozen I then drop the bags on the tile, breaking them back into pellets and pouring them in the ice holding bin in one of the fridges. I do this now but can't get a full gallon bag of ice. I had a GE Profile ice maker which was great for 2 years before it died. It's very pricey so I decided to go with the more economical one. The ice is just as good, but the convenience isn't.

We purchased this as a secondary ice maker for drinks. Out of the box, it was a simple setup: put in water, push the clean cycle, wait until it finished then start. It begins producing ice quickly (<10 minutes). The result is good chewable ice nuggets great for drinks. Things to be aware of. I purchased because the removable ice reservoir appear to be a simple way to dump ice for storage. It’s not, melted ice/water drips when you remove it and makes a mess. Better to use the provided scoop. It requires a lot of “tending” IMO. Ice builds up so you must empty our clear it about every 30 minutes. It is not a set it and forget unit.

Die Bedienung ist kinderleicht – einfach Wasser einfüllen, einschalten und schon nach kurzer Zeit sind die ersten Eiswürfel fertig. Gerade an heißen Sommertagen ist sie eine echte Erleichterung, da man jederzeit frische Eiswürfel für Getränke zur Verfügung hat. Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis hat mich überzeugt. Die Maschine arbeitet zuverlässig, ist schnell und erfüllt genau das, was sie verspricht. Sie nimmt nicht viel Platz weg und ist eine praktische Ergänzung für den Haushalt. Nach meiner bisherigen Erfahrung kann ich die Eiswürfelmaschine mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen. Wer im Sommer oder auch bei Feiern nicht ständig Eiswürfel kaufen oder einfrieren möchte, wird mit diesem Gerät sicher sehr zufrieden sein. Von mir gibt es daher eine klare Kaufempfehlung!

Die Eiswürfelmaschine ist bei uns zuhause mittlerweile nicht mehr wegzudenken. Gerade wenn spontan Besuch da ist oder man einfach schnell ein kaltes Getränk möchte, ist es echt praktisch, dass schon nach ein paar Minuten die ersten Eiswürfel fertig sind. Was uns besonders gefällt: Die Maschine ist schön kompakt und platzsparend. Sie steht bei uns in der Speis und nimmt kaum Platz weg, passt also auch problemlos in kleinere Bereiche. Die Bedienung ist wirklich super einfach – Wasser einfüllen, einschalten und schon geht’s los. Man muss sich nicht groß ins Handbuch einlesen - funktioniert alles sehr übersichtlich. Auch die Auswahl zwischen zwei Eiswürfelgrößen nutzen wir tatsächlich öfter als gedacht, je nach Getränk. Im Alltag läuft sie zuverlässig und auch von der Lautstärke her völlig in Ordnung, man nimmt sie kaum störend wahr. Unterm Strich sind wir wirklich zufrieden, weil sie genau das macht, was sie soll – schnell Eis liefern, einfach zu bedienen sein und dabei nicht viel Platz brauchen. Für den Einsatz zuhause auf jeden Fall eine klare Empfehlung.
