Excellent with some time taken to set up well
I am very pleased with this. Matches great to evo series LG tv. Good integration. Some details: Not a replacement for a home theatre set up sound system, but does a great job to give the TV great sound. Subwoofer is better than expected and adds a lot. WOW Orchestra is not so wow. That's feature where you can use sound bar with TV speakers for more immersive sound. I think sound bar sounds better without the TV speakers going. Dolby Atmos actually seems to work well. We were watching one movie that had birds in background in forest scene. Was excellent presence. Did not seem to be coming from sound bar. Has extra hdmi input so using hdmi eARC does not lose you an hdmi input on TV. Have blu ray player plugged into sound bar and selecting HDMI 2 on LG evo OLED tv selects it while also handling the sound functions well. Settings that are working best for me (long time HiFi interests): - sound formats: Cinema expansive stage but does not sound right. AI Pro sound does not sound great to me, but better. I like best Standard selection. UPDATE after a week with it. I still like Standard sound best if on a movie or regular television show, but I've found on some YouTube music choices or on concert videos (vs movies) on Apple TV, the Standard mode selection does not sound good. Why music in movies sounds so good but not some music of other sorts, I have no idea. When I experience that, switching to sound mode AI pro or Cinema work much better for some reason. AI sound pro mode might be sweet spot if I decide I don't want to bother to change it (which is quite easy to get to and change and change back depending on what you are watching. This is a setting on the LG TV and very easy to get at and toggle. - And with that selected, sweet spot for me is bumping up level on subwoofer and also on bass a bit over the middle settings. So, not all the way up but not flat, center, either. Sounds great on voice, news, movies, etc. Massive improvement in TV sound with some depth, oomph, bass, and robust middle. I get the weaknesses of this or any soundbar compared to a full HiFi system. So the get is simplicity and integration. This will not confuse your family members. I cannot comprehend the reviews here that suggest sound is no bette than that from the TV alone. The TV speakers are unusually good but the sound is so limited compared to with this sound bar--it's a huge difference. Con: I could not get the sound bar to connect to WiFi in any attempt. LG Soundbar app just could not do it. I do not know why. Was on same SSID, etc and following instructions on app. So, learned how to change settings with remote to get sound I like (and you can set main sound type (again, I liked Standard best) on TV with TV remote snd then use sound bar remote to tweak sound. Not terrible. And the sound I like works well for everything so I don't expect to fiddle with it much in the future. I would totally buy this again. PS. I buy a lot on Amazon and bought this here but returned it was shipping got delayed so went to get it at Best Buy.

Worth the hassle of the setup
Great sound system overall. Works great, sounds great, although not right out of the box. Putting it together could have been easier if the included instructions were more than just a couple pictures and no words. The included stand is a key feature of this setup. It completely replaces the TV's included stand and is far more robust and stable. The sound bar mounts to it with included screws. Would recommend you hookup every cable you want to use now and in the future because once it's screwed in place it is impossible to get to without taking the whole thing apart again. Also, all the default sound settings are awful. Once you enable the WOW audio enhancement when used with a compatible LG TV and adjust the subwoofer and speaker settings in the app you have to download, it has good bass and sounds really spacious for a 3.1.3 system. If you find it for a good price its definitely worth it even if you have to put some extra effort to get the best out of it.

WOW! That's a good one.
Firstly, I have to give cred to the LG OLED TV to which these speakers are integrated. The combination of the LG OLED TV with this speaker bar and woofer is a great example of beautifully thought out (by LG) and designed setup for TV and Sound. AND I must add to that list the fact that this new system replaces our previous Samsung that got 'fried' in a very kinetic storm (a very expensive evening all around) - the point is that ours installed in a massive hutch designed for these TV's. We installed the previous TV on a wall-mounted bracket which was always somewhat cumbersome. This time we opted to use LG's stand that is specially designed to work with the WOW bar speaker. The setup works PERFECTLY! Installation was a piece of cake and the fully integrated LG remote controls are part of all that is good. By the way, the audio quality is bodacious!

Amazing sound for small rooms
I'm using this on a LG EVO C4 65' in a 12x14 room. The depth it gives to the sound is simply amazing!!! It will fill the room but if you're looking for the water in the glass to shimmer while watching Jurassic Park, this isn't a sound bar for you. Most reviews are correct in that the C4 TV is actually louder than when the is sc9 connected. However, what it does provide is room filling sound that is loud enough for me, while not disturbing others in the house. This upgrade is about quality, accurate sound, versus loud. Loud doesn't mean quality but if you're looking for loud AF that will get cops called, look at the Nakamichi....I wasn't looking for that. For any audiophile on a budget and in a small room.....sc9 is amazing!!!

Sound drops out randomly
Worked great for a while but now the sound keeps dropping out randomly. Apparently it’s a known issue for which there’s no easy solution. I tried updating the software and several other suggested fixes I found online but nothing has worked. I’ve only had it for a year but LG says I’m outside the warranty period. Not worth the $600 I paid for it.

Meh...
C2 owner here! Soundbar connects just fine, everything got hooked up immediately and it switched to the WOW Orchestra mode (TV speakers + soundbar) automatically. WOW Interface (the UI on the TV where you configure your soundbar) is not supported on C2, only on C3, but there are not too many settings and you can access all of them through the soundbar remote (yeah, it kinda sucks, since you are paying extra for LG TV integration and there is basically none). You can also install the app on your smartphone, but I have so many apps by now so that I got tired of all this "install a dedicate app to control a light bulb in the bathroom" nonsense. Let's get to the actual reason why you would be buying the soundbar - the sound! There is no noticeable difference between TV speakers and soundbar. First of all, "center channel to improve dialogs" is utter nonsense, as center channel is not playing with PCM content. Most of your apps, like YouTube, etc. will still play stereo, so no center channel for you. My other hope was that soundbar will improve volume disparity between Netflix (which has most of the Dolby content) and the rest of the apps (which stream PCM/stereo), as I now have more channels. Unfortunately, nothing changed - Netflix is still too quiet, while the rest of the apps are too loud. You can hear all the speakers are active when watching Netflix, but it's still noticeably quieter than YouTube, for example, even though YouTube only plays through two speakers of the soundbar. And yeah, there is no magic - there is no surround effect of any kind, It's just people on the second floor can hear what you are watching downstair a little bit better, as they now get their dedicated speakers. :) The only (marginal) difference is the subwoofer - if you crank up the volume, you can hear it pumping a little bit. I also played with the sound presets. I still like the balanced sound of "Standard" the most, although when you switch it to "AI Sound Pro" it definitely sounds better with the soundbar than without it (although sound is still trash in this mode regardless). Interesting thing is that when you select "AI Sound Pro" preset it leverages all speakers even for stereo content. It doesn't make it any louder, but all the sound effects/compression (not the binary compression, but the limiter/compressor) and made-up channel separation make it sound very artificial and unrealistic. The similar effect (using all speakers for stereo content) can be achieved if you enable surround mode on the soundbar itself through the remote control (or in the app; or in the WOW Interface, if you have C3). In any case, I just left it on "Standard", as that's the most balanced sound preset. Lastly, instructions for the remote are non-existent - there is a good deal of buttons, but you have no clue what they are doing, as there is nothing in the simple manual that comes with the sound bar. Online instructions are a little bit better, but still lacking. In any case, the key button is the cog/gear (settings) - you press it, and sound bar will announce what setting you are configuring. To scroll through the settings press left/right on the "wheel" while you are still in the settings mode and to change the value (i.e. on/off a certain feature) press up/down on the wheel. You can also tweak level for different channels in the same matter, just press the EQ button (bottom-left on the remote) instead of the settings. Overall, for the price - just get something else.

Good but no surround sound
Great sound quality. Wouldn’t buy this again since surround sound rear speakers are no longer sold.
