How can I find instructions on how to put the bed rail together? I've lost mine.

I do not know where to get a copy of the directions.....and I'm not sure where my copy is or I'd ask for an address and sent it to you. But, if I had your problem, I'd have my order pulled up where a teenager could see it, and I bet the young minds of today could put it together for you. It is amazing how smart these kids are nowadays. Sorry you have this problem.

What is the width of the grab bar itself?

about 14 inches. It is a good width and very solid with the feet on the floor and other part between the mattress and springs. Serve two purposes, to help my wife get up and keep her from rolling out of bed.

What are the dimensions of the box?

Box is flat and bed rail need to be assembled. So approximately 17x15x4

Does it need a box spring to work?

We have a mattress and box spring but I would think you could use it between a mattress and a platform as long as the platform doesn't have a lot of empty spaces for the extender to fall through! We have a platform in the extra bedroom with wooden slats and I know this would work in there also. Hope this helps!
