Rockerz 551ANC Bluetooth Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation Over Ear Headphones with Up to 100H Playtime, ASAP Charge, Ambient Sound Mode &Dual EQ Modes, Enx Technology(Stellar Black)

I bought this product for ₹999 during the black Friday sale. It's an absolute steal! And an excellent product!, Thumping bass for bass lovers like me, Crispy audio and no audio distortion!, Unless if you try to squeeze the ear cups together tightly absolutely ruins the drivers! (not recommended at all!). As many consumers like me, have noticed a slight problem. If you crank the volume to the max or atleast 95% or 90%, You can actually weird windy-ish like noises, as in like crackling noises, almost like a wonky interference coming from inside or the outside of the headset. I don't whether this behaviour is considered normal or not. Quite disappointing. Could be just because of a limitation of the internal motherboard design, or the drivers struggling at extreme volumes, cuz it's noticable at max volume. Plus, the physical noise isolation does a decent job, but tries to prevent most of the audio from getting leaked, but it still finds possible ways to penetrate through. (Sound leakage starts at 80-90% btw). Quality of the product? 8.2/10. But it's only weak point is where the swivel mechanism is located, as it breaks off easily ONLY, if you apply too much pressure towards it's hinges (which is it's weak point). The headphone itself isn't invincible. So don't expect It's build to be strong. It's weak so it's better to handle it with care 😮‍💨. The ear cushion are really soft, Feels Premium... almost TOO premium... I have noticed slight discomfort, but since I tend to use it for long hours, it's barely noticeable. And also, this headphone DOES have an IPX water/sweat resistant rating. (Not entirely sure about the water rating though).Overall, an awesome product from boAt. For those who wanted a simplistic version of my review, here ya go :) Sound Quality: 9.2/10 Bass: 9.1/10 Headset's Build Quality: 8.2/10 Battery Backup: 8/10 Comfort: 9.3/10 Connectivity: 8.1 (Could be improved with easier pairing, similar to the Epos Adapt 260) Songs to test your headphones. These songs might feel Gen-Z like, but hey, that’s just how things are now. ;) EDIT : It's been almost a full 4 months of being a proud owner of the boAt rockerz 558 (according to my purchase history). Works really great... Sound is very good... Boat should provide extra ear clips/hooks... They come off accidentally... i lost mine and are not available separately But the headphones are great and super battery life

Good and loud sound for gamers specially. It's good product. You can from very far distance around 40Ft.

This BoAt 330 ANC Neckband is very Good but needs improvement and fixes. Pros:- • Nice Sound Quality while using Crystal Bionic Sound, but it's average on normal mode which feels a little more bassy and losses clarity at certain points. • Great Build Quality • It's ANC & Ambience mode is good in this price range. • It's quite Comfortable to wear for long sessions as per my ear fitting. • It has Dual Pairing which is very good but it's not very seamless and there is a small issue with dual pairing, e.g., while receiving a call on one device, the audio/video being played at another device won't Pause (you have to manually pause) instead there won't be any sound output through that device. Its a little issue but it would have been great if the video gets paused while receiving a call on another device, as this is available on BoAt Rockerz 335 and a few different BoAt Neckbands. Cons:- • It's range is very low considering Bluetooth v5.2, I even have BoAt neckband with v5.0 which has better range. Even a single wall coming in between 3-4ms can block the sound output. • Its battery life is average which needs charge every day if you use it for roughly 8-10 hours everyday with Bionic Crystal Mode/ANC enabled. • While using Dual Pairing sometimes there are sound drops and lags in between. And the sound gets high pitched and starts lagging sometimes if you switch quickly between devices. (This happened on the Replacement unit I received, maybe it's not the case with your unit). • Sometimes no sound is received while playing Audio from both devices. (I don't know if it's wrong with my unit or every unit.) Overall this is a good and considerable Neckband under 2k if you want Good Bass-Rich Sound Quality, ANC/Ambience mode and Descent battery life. But if your requirements mostly is Dual Pairing, then this is not for you. As I bought this considering Dual Pairing feature most importantly. But it's not really seamless in between Devices, but still it's the best possible available feature in this price range or even under 5k but it needs improvements and fixes to make it more seamless and efficient. Another problem with Dual Pairing is that the media doesn't gets paused on first device if there's a call on the second one, which is already there on BoAt's few other Neckbands, but then there is no Media-Pause feature on them. (e.g., If audio is being played on 2 devices first device Audio will get paused if Audio is played on second device and vice-versa). So do try it out by yourself. Headphone is really really nice, too much comfort and different modes such as Ambient Mode, and the best one which is the ANC mode, ANC mode is not that stiff ANC, like other expensive or slighter affordable headphones, which is under 10k but ANC works very well, the headphone is little bit heavy, size is also nice, like it easily fits on your head, covers your ear properly, the best is the battery life, I used it for 6 days in a single charge, with switching modes, range is also good, and it also supports DOLBY Atmos in my phone, specially which music listening in Apple Music, you get the real Lossless quality, feels very different and make the experience really nice, while gaming very less latency you may feel, another feature Boat was supposed to add, is the AUX, in this headphone you won't get any AUX, so yeah, the only way, if you want to connect your headphone with you PC or Laptop is Bluetooth. Overall 10/10 Product in this price, you easily go for it.

So it's been some time I've been using these about a month I guess, and I can say I'm fully content with these, sound quality is good, they are durable, light in weight, fit in ear just there, bass is a bit overrated but I think for me it's ok, voice on call clear enough. So overall a good make all in all, find the below review to check out and decide if these fit your specs for a perfect buy. So when you unbox these quite a good box and you can see through the plastic covering the headphones, once you open the box you'll find some docs such as the warranty card, and the boat pamphlet, and some other doc's related to boat. Make - I think the make seems to be quite good in this price, when I wore them for the first time I couldn't feel the headphones around my neck then, they've just managed to make them light but still heavy enough to sustain around your neck, you'll find less buttons and the best part for me is that they have provided a C-type charging socket which was just a Cherry on the cake for me as I possess a One plus. They've taken care that it doesn't get itchy around your neck and also you keep enjoying your music experience so great work on that front, the wires are a bit long coz they are connected to the end of the heavy plastic material, and I'm afraid I might just pop off one the wires if my activities are a bit aggressive, so I hope they work on that part, the erabuds fit okay in the ear I can feel a heaviness in ear when I wear, them, plus the smallest of the rubber tips just seem the medium size to me maybe because of the external part being bigger in size than the internal part that goes in-ear. So I'm not satisfied with the earbud part that goes in-ear but all in all I think they've done a pretty good job to provide the best quality in this price range. Music and call quality - On the music front I think they've done a decent job, the earphones a loud and packed with extra bass, now what happens is if you are connected and you get a call it just bangs in-ear which could be dangerous if your phone ring volume is full, they are just too loud so it's difficult to guage other music fronts and beats, as far the bass is concerned it's just wow if you're listening to bass packed music. So if you are looking for that detailed music breakdown it's a heartbreak there, and I also happen to get a lag for about .1 or .2 seconds which means gamers I won't recommend these to you, but if you're just looking for casual use I think you can just go for it. Noise cancellation - Actually people have misunderstood the noise cancellation funda in these, so there is no extra feature or a button where you press and get the Noise cancellation mode active, so then what does it mean, whatever they have advertised that is partly correct yes it has noise cancellation but not that at par, it does a pretty decent job though, if you're wearing these then you might wanna press them into your ear to get better results for the noise cancellation part. Price - I got these in a sale price of ₹1499 on Amazon, so I feel that's a great buy in such a budget, the original price appears to be ₹1999 however you'll find them at ₹1700 - ₹1800 on Flipkart, do remember to check your prices before you buys these. All in all a wonderful product if you're engaged in calls, and casual browsing and streaming videos online, good enough for listening to music, I would suggest a best buy budget friendly.

Some of the dislikes I've mentioned earlier in my review are no more dislikes. I said the sound is more or less on a flatter side but I'm quite used to it and "I'm loving it".. :) the Second point is I said if you are an audiophile then you may not like it but I was wrong. You might ask why... Here is why: After a long gap, I visited my Father who is an audiophile. He has numerous high-end headphones but unfortunately, he got the attention of my headphone and he just wanted to try it. I said yes (I regret it :( ) he paired it with his device and played a song. Boy!! you got to see the grin on his face :D. He said I'm keeping it you buy another one. Poor me was forced to buy another one. A few days back I got another one :( One thing I noticed in two of my purchase is THE AUDIO CABLE IS NO GOOD. Both my audio cable had the same issue. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- So the moral of the story is: Hide it from your audiophile Dad or brother.. they will unceremoniously snatch it from you. Bass is decent nothing to go overboard( as noticed in other reviews). I've been using it for 3 days for 2-3 hrs a day still its running. So i guess the 8 hr backup per charge is not a marketing gimmick I presume it's true. So far so good. will update it after a month's usage. ------------------------------------------------------------ Dislikes: 1> Sound quality is more on the flatter side. When you compare it with budget wired headphones like Sennheiser CX 180 Street II bass is not too deep. You won't get that ambiance. Boat's website says:"Don't just be loud, be loud and clear", Nope... sorry I've to disappoint you on this. When it's loud it's not at all clear. A lot of distortions are there when you are loud. ----------------------------------------------------------- 2> Comfort: Believe me, it's not at all comfortable for prolonged usage. Your ear will beg you to take it off after 30-45 mins.. If you have high fortitude you can push it till 1-1.20 hrs... If you could go more than that without taking it off for a minute then you are superhuman... ----------------------------------------------------------- 3> Range: Boats says 10 meters range... In my experience, if you go beyond 5-6 meters then the voice will break. You will never ever get 10 mtrs range trust me on that. And I'm experiencing occasional breaks in the streaming nothing intrusive so far but I don't know whether it will be a problem down the line. Will let you guys know about it later if it's a problem. ------------------------------------------------------------- 4>Flimsy aux cable: I can't complain too much about the aux cable keeping the price in mind. Remember I paid only 1299 for it. But with certain devices, the aux was not working properly. Mi note 3 had issues, Mi 4 also had issues with aux. Not sure whether it's the problem with my device. But it worked flawlessly on my laptop. -------------------------------------------------------------- 5> Wafer thin service centers: Boat gives 1 yr warranty but what good is it if you can't find any service centers near you. This is a hit or miss guys... --------------------------------------------------------------- 6> Voice cancellation: I didn't find this effective. Maybe it's just me, not sure. ---------------------------------------------------------------- 7> Microphone is pretty much useless. You can't make calls with this headset. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Some alternatives:( These are all wired headphones, comparing them with a wireless may not be a good idea but still, I compare it with them because Boat rockerz comes with an aux cable, and if you are looking for an alternative irrespective of wired or wireless it might be of some use to you) 1>Sennheiser CX 180 Street II : I don't think Boat can beat this one's quality. The sound is incomparable- the base is deep, nice fidelity, nice ambiance and for a price of 799 this is unbeatable budget wired in-ear headphone. I own 2 of this beauty. Total value for money. If you are an audiophile and are on a tight budget then I can't a better alternative than this. 2> SoundMagic E10C In-Ear Headphones with Mic (Black/Gold): This is another TVFM earphone 3>Sony Extra Bass MDR-XB250 On-Ear Headphones -------------------------------------------------------------------- Don't buy it: 1> If you are an audiophile ( obviously audiophiles will go only for wired headphones :D ) 2> If you intend to use it for long hours. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Buy it: 1> If you are looking for a budget wireless headphone with decent built quality and performance. 2> If you require a wired and wireless package in one. .----------------------------------------------------------------------- Verdict: I'd give this headphone a score of 3.75/ 5 If you are on a budget and you want to enjoy a hassle-free Bluetooth headphone with good performance then CLOSE YOUR EYES AND BUY THIS BEAST trust me you won't regret it you won't be disappointed. In this price range, I couldn't find any other headphone with such a performance. We don't have many options.... Do we? :P :P The actual price is Rs. 2999 and Amazon claim they are giving 57% discount. pls don't fall for that.
