Not aware of any padding as such but still comfortable to use

The little part that is to be mounted on the bottom of the camera. Dos is it come with a key? As I don't have one to tighten the part to the camera.

Yes you get the key, the hangers loop through the the camera mounts as well to hang the camera the correct way up..
