Book Seat - Book Holder (Choice of 5 Colours Available)

With all those alternative book rests based on metal or wooden frames offered for sale, it takes a real leap of the imagination to come up with this one. I'm most impressed.Great for reading medium size books (about A5 size pages), which are intended to be read from beginning to end - fiction, biography, and some non fiction. Not quite so good for browsing reference books. Too much page turning can become a bit irritating, with the need to pull back the retaining strip and sometimes tighten the cord afterwards. Also, although larger books will fit in the book seat, the additional size and weight does tend to make the whole thing a bit unstable if, like me, you like reading in an armchair with your feet up! If the book seat were just a bit bigger, it might cope better with larger books.But these are just niggles - I really like the product, and recommend it to anyone who enjoys settling down to read for pleasure.

This is such a clever thing, I can't believe we don't all have one.Much smaller and lighter than I had anticipated, the Book Seat still comfortably holds anything from Kindle to 1,000 pages of Peter Ackroyd.One potential drawback, is that it is perhaps an idea not to use the page holder with Kindle Keyboard, unless very careful, as can press buttons accidentally.However, I hope that it will make reading in bed and on the sofa more comfortable and should enable me to read in other places to, as it is so light. I will even be able to take it on holiday :-)A really fun & useful buy.

As an avid book reader with nerve entrapment in both wrists and elbows; this gadget allows me to indulge in my favourite pastime, free from the pain caused by holding a book. The only downside I can see is the increased cost as I will need to purchase more books to keep me going!

The product is okay.Cannot say it is anything special.It was a bit smaller than I expected, but not a problem.

Bought this for a friend at Christmas and received one myself too! This has revolutionised the way I use my iPad. Before the Book Seat the iPad was resting in a flat position on my lap or a table for long periods so I'd get a bent neck and stiff shoulders. Or I'd be holding it upright which would hurt my wrists as the iPad is pretty heavy to hold for long periods of use and you need two hands to type.. Not only does the iPad sit comfortably in the holder, but as it claims, it fits on my knees in bed, on the arm of the chair, on the table or worktop and means my head and hands remain free. Also works well for reading novels and using as a stand for cookery books. Well worth the very reasonable price. Absolutely love it!

Bought 3 in total for christmas presents, one for an 89 year old lady and one each for my parents in their early 70's. They loved the idea and find it really easy to use. My mum's arthritis prevents her from holding her book easily these days so this will make reading so much easier for her. It also holds a Kindle or ipad so it's a really versatile item. Brilliant !

What a brilliant idea this is! I have bad arthritis in both hands and it was really becoming a problem holding a book but with this Book Seat my love of reading has been made so much more enjoyable again.It weighs nothing and with the loop to hook your fingers through on the move it can go anywhere and you dont have to rely on anybody else to move it for you.Many thanks for something so simple which has made life easier.
