Product is great works as described!!! Couldn’t get my google assistant to work with my doorknob lock, app would even disconnect once upstairs. Add this lil guy and BAM google asst. now works and can unlock/lock from all around the house

it took all but 1 min to pair these up with all of my compatible smart locks. I like the access to my locks anywhere I am.

Update: after having this for the better part of a year I'm docking one star. It connects to the door knobs great, but it keeps dropping it's wifi signal! I rarely have to access the door knobs remotely, but so far, every time I've needed to, I've discovered that I couldn't because it lost wifi connection. I'd have to go over and physically unplug and replug it back in, reconnect it to wifi and THEN it would have a strong connection again. But by then I've unlocked the door with my fingerprint already. So, that's been pretty frustrating. I ordered this for my pantry door lock (got 4 sweet toothed munchkins who can't stop snacking before meals!) because it was such a pain to have to be standing 10 inches away from the door knob before it would register that the app was nearby via Bluetooth. I was able to get through the app set up in about 10 min even though it came with almost no instructions. I just YouTubed a couple of videos and used what I experiences I've had with setting up smart home devices to get through it. Once it was set up, it worked perfectly. Bonus, unexpected benefit? I just installed another Bluetooth door knob in the basement, pretty far from the kitchen, not even considering that they are on completely different floors, and I was super shocked when this baby picked up the new door knob and practically auto-added it to the wifi! I wasn't even expecting for this gateway to be able to reach that far, but it works beautifully. Now is it the door knob or the gateway that should get the credit? I don't know, but it works! Yay! I didn't read the description carefully, so I'm sure it's mentioned there, but it's super tiny and light which was unexpected for me. It's only about a 3" square and so light that I just let it dangle from the plug under my shelving.

Easy to use.

I had a bunch of bluetooth temperature sensors which could not be integrated into my smart home apps and setups. This thing fills the hole, but creating a wifi/bluetooth gateway. Setting up required couple of retries in the smartlife app, but once it showed up it was added seamlessly and the gateway picked up my temperature sensors right away feeding info into my google home. If you are looking for a general purpose Tuya gateway, not just for the door knob, this shall do well.

TLDR: Product advertises "Work with Alexa for Voice Control" - It does not. Using the Smart Life or Tuya apps, they can find the door knob (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CDNP2N9W/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 which is decent, not great but decent) and the gateway. Gateway install wasn't hard. However the Echo Dot 5th gen 5 inches from it can't see it via any means. You can use the app to Lock, unlock, etc. But you can't use voice as advertised. There is no support for the device and searching the web has had no good results. DO NOT BUY
