The Printmaking Bible, Revised Edition: The Complete Guide to Materials and Techniques

This is one of the best books I have used for my printmaking and the research necessary to succeed!

I highly recommend. It covers all aspects and methods of printmaking clearly.

Pretty good for beginners learning about printmaking, a little disappointed with the lack of step by step( not at how to guide) but something that examples the process more.

This book has on the bests contemporary information about most printmaking techniques with good illustrations and images.

I originally found this text at the library. I was studying for my art teacher test. While reading I began creating lessons using information from the text. I love this book. There is so much good information, I wanted my own copy. I will probably buy a copy or two as gifts for my friends who enjoy printmaking.

I didn’t much like this book, and I returned it, which I rarely do. It’s more of a reference book, (fairly big and heavy) an overview of different types of printmaking, with bio’s of a number of printmakers. A lot of of the included examples are by the authors themselves. It’s worth taking a look at, if you can find it in a library or a classroom, but it’s a bit outdated, a bit dull, and not that easy to read. There are many more recent books on printmaking techniques available now that are more helpful, with better how-to instructions.
