Invaluable for fingig screws dropped on surfaces that act as camouflage for screws! Originally purchased to find and retrieve lost screws, it has also worked well on my lathe and Cnc milling machines for collecting dwarf an easily depositing it in the steel bin.

Brilliant idea - even picks up aluminium.

I bought this to replace a similar item that was over 30 years old that went missing when a workmate left!!! Was planning on using it for 2 roles, 1st pick nails out of scrap wood ash in the log fire which it does well enough and 2nd to clear swarf from machines in a workshop which it struggles with if the chips are plentiful or large, just not a strong magnet. As an indication it will not hold itself to the underside of a metal shelf. It works but could be better.
