Used this item to create 8 cake crunchy tacos. The modeling chocolate provided the perfect hard taco shell lookalike and has a good taste. I am about to order another container! Good quality, texture, easy to use and was softened in the microwave at 7 second intervals.

Tasted alright. Came hard but became easily workable after working with it for a few minutes. Took color well. This was my first try. I would say it was a success.

This was my first time using modeling chocolate and I used it to turn my girlfriend’s cake into an all edible Trouble game board….would have been helpful to have better modeling tools but it came out pretty good. I hand mixed the white with Americolor gel food coloring and it took well - I had to use a lot to get it as vibrant as I wanted but it didn’t seem to affect the taste or texture. I used the black modeling chocolate to make the base of the Trouble popper and that does taste like tootsie roll more than dark chocolate but still also edible. I was able to use edible decorator pens to write the numbers on the dice and words on other parts of the game board. I did use powder sugar as suggested in other reviews to help prevent them from sticking to my sil pat and during storage (in an airtight container) and dusted the excess powdered sugar off with a pasty brush and paint brush for detailed areas before putting them on the cake. I left a bit of it on the bottom side and used a paint brush and water to help it be like a glue to hold the decorations to the classic boiled fudge icing my gf wanted :) Worked great! Texture is softer than tootsie roll and I found that if it was getting too warm in my hands to mold properly, I just set it down to rest while I worked on something else til it had firmed up again. Rolls well like a dough. Couldn’t quite “sculpt” it the way I would have liked but I probably didn’t have the right tools or experience - happy decorating!

DO NOT PURCHASE!!! I repeat avoid this brand at all costs I received this and did not open until the day I needed to use it and found all of the oil had melted OUT of the chocolate to the OUTSIDE of the plastic wrapping. It is poorly designed to keep the chocolate fresh and reasonably soft, mine is as hard as a brick due to the leaking. It should have been shipped in a box with a cooling pad to avoid this issue. I am trying to knead it back together as I do not have enough time to order another brand. I purchased both the bright white and the black and will be returning the white as I am not willing to receive a sub par product!!
