I never usually write positive reviews, but this fan is so good I couldn't. - 1.) This fan was authentic. - 2.) It's rated at 1860CFM but online testing has shown that it actually moves 2100CFM. This fan replaced my 14" Derale in my LS1 Mitsubishi Starion. At cruising speeds, my car never had overheating issues. But now that summer is here and A/C is a must, I've been taxing the Derale. Ordered this fan hoping that it would help with my overheating issues... And it done more than that! The Derale blade to blade diameter was 13.5. The SPAL is 13.89. I had to widen out my existing shroud to fit the SPAL because it is slightly larger. The motor is larger as well, but the shallow depth of the SPAL made up for the larger motor difference. The SPAL has actually improved my A/C performance because it moves much more air through my condenser. The only negative DIFFERENCE between this fan and the Derale, is that it is MUCH, MUCH louder. It is a very loud fan. But this is something I can easily overlook because the sound is the sound of ACTUAL performance and airflow.

added fan is real treat to enjoy. I did not care for the fans with supplied mounting hardware, so opted for the w/o and used a rod of 1/8"x1/2"- 4' flat steel-cut, bent, drilled, tapped, washer supported connections. fit into aluminum frame area with pop rivets and cut out shroud for supports. reinstalled water pump fan and now with 14" Spal fan running the clutch fan stays disengaged and you can feel the power available and hear your engine working easily. 12v fan noise is just right! Puller fan fits in front of Silverado clutch fan with room to spare. Nice to hear the engine and not the clutch fan.
