Something Special - Bumper Box Set [DVD]

If your child enjoys Mr Tumble's antics, this great value set of DVDs will give them hours of enjoyment. Not only that, but they will develop a verbal and sign vocabulary covering a whole range of everyday situations. We used this set in a Nursery where a high percentage of the children have English as an additional language, and a number of English-speaking children have language and communication delay. They love the structured format of the programme, the repetitive language, and the clear demonstration of signs for new words. as the adult who usually sits with them while they watch it, I have to say that I enjoy it too, though what does it for me is the obvious rapport between Justin and his delightfully happy friends - all children with special needs. Thanks Justin - I would recommend these DVDs to all young children, whatever their ability level.

Great value with lots of hours of entertainment. Just be mindful of the resolution of DVD as the quality might not be as good as you are used to on a larger screen. It's a shame there is no bluray version

Our baby girl has DS so we wanted to introduce Makaton early and this is so good for her and for us as parents. She loves it and becomes obsessed when it’s on tv. I think he is creepy and weird and get irritated by it (but then again it’s not me this for!)

I bought this DVD for my two year old son because he absolutely loves Mr. Tumble! Although I do not let him watch too much T.V. I make an exception when it comes to this due to its educational qualities. Since purchasing it, it has become his favorite DVD and he always asks for it. This DVD teaches children about household pets, farm yard animals, sea creatures and jungle animals. My two year old particularly loves the sign language involved in it and has picked it up incredibly quickly and it has almost become second nature to him, which has helped me to understand him better because as his speech is not yet that well developed he can also sign to me the word he is trying to say. The downside of this DVD is the price, but I would be prepared to pay the same amount for other 'Mr. Tumble' titles if they are as good as this one. So if your child is a fan, don't be put off by the price, I would whole heartedly recommend it!
