what is the replacement filter for this?

It Seals better then the box dose for Better air flow and it's really easy to clean and a great item to have for a snorkel

if connecting this to my snorkel will this oush cold air rather than warm air to my air box ?

No it's just an air filter nothing more.

Does it need a rubber coupler with hose clamps to keep it tight/keep water out? I'm trying to build a snorkel. Also, what filter to replace with?

Mine included a rubber coupler and clamps to secure it. It includes a reusable cone filter similar to a K&N. Spectre sells filters also. I use it with a snorkel on a Jeep Cherokee with no ill effects.
