This book is extremely helpful, positive, informative, and it works!!!!! Echols is an inspiration!

This is an awesome book on High Magick practices (Magick geared towards the goal of spiritual development, although many other applications are discussed). What I love about Damien is that his books are like kind of like an iPhone, super user friendly and easy for anyone to use successfully from the start (minuses the over priced aspect) while at the same time containing more detailed instructions on certain aspects of ritual than most books, as well as a wide range of practices, up to and including, easy to understand versions of some of the most powerful and complex angel invocation rituals, and high Magick practices.Absolutely beautiful book in it's physical form and the audiobook version (I definitely had to get both) as always, is in his own voice that was seemingly made for interesting and heartwarming narration.First part is like an perfectly concise encyclopedia for angelic entities/energies, second part is filled with simple to advanced practices, with sidebars and historical information sprinkled in that does a great job in relaying context.Overall, I love this book as well as his "High Magick" and I have begun to use this book along with several from other authors he recommends (also mentioned as additional reading in this book) with success as I work on the western path to spiritual development. Thank you Damien for enlivening my spirituality and inspiring me to start practicing High Magick

A great read for anyone familiar or new to magik. The meditation techniques is my favorite part of the book. A great book to keep shelved for refreshers on magik.

Bad news continued to accumulate over the summer, and as I waited for my book to arrive I kept thinking: “Angels and Archangels are on the way…They’re on their way...” And they were.If you are at all interested in ceremonial magick, comparative religions, art, history, meditation, empowerment, criminal justice, poetic justice or the nature of the human spirit, then read this book. Damien Echols continues to remind readers and students that love, beauty and divinity are always within reach--even in the most dire of circumstances.And then there’s the Gateway Talisman…*sighs longingly*In a particularly poignant passage, Damien honors his teacher Harada Roshi--the master who visited him while he waited on death row:“That’s who I want to be too--completely absorbed in my higher self and empowered to help others in any way that I can. I lived alone in a burning nest of fear, rage, and horror for so long, and now that I’m on the other side, it’s my task to see that I’m not alone anymore and that others need my help.”In the spirit of criticism (and for some semblance of objectivity) I will say that the book would be better with color pictures, but then it would also cost more so maybe not. Perhaps there could be more annotations for the nerds, but that might also change the tone or negatively affect readability. It is meant for us to research all this on our own anyway and not be spoon fed.Taken from his own experiences, this book is a rich resource, a thoughtful practice guide and a beautiful follow up to High Magick.

Just got it yesterday and I’m loving it! Can’t wait to finish it.

I have been a practicing witch for 20 years and have a vast library so it's always fun to come across something new which excites me. I bought this for the handy list of corresponding angels for the zodiac, tree of life, etc but am thoroughly enjoying reading the entire book. I like to approach each new printed treasure with a beginner's mind and the openness of a child and because of that I can always find some new element or nugget to inspire and deepen my practice. This book has plenty of those moments, even for seasoned practitioners, but is so approachable and well presented my husband, who is not a witch (yet!) is enjoying this and will be adding rituals before and after his healing work.Yes, it might seem obvious to a long term initiate but I found plenty to discover and his passion and love for the craft is palpable in every word. This is a treat to read and it has given me new ideas and energy to bring into my own rituals. There is wisdom here for all.

Probably the best hook I've ever seen for getting people started and advancing in magick properly. Giving easy to understand context that really would have helped me alot when u first started...at this point I was hoping for something more advanced but that doesn't mean there's not something to learn in everything you read! If you're within 3 years or so of practicing magick this is a must have! If not, chances are you'll still learn something and that something will be well worth the ridiculously cheap price. Also, I have the hardcover and it is a beautiful book. Highly recommend going with that.

I am about to finish reading it but is enough to say it's a very resourceful book to those people who wants to establish a spiritual relationship with the divine part inside of them. Damien is absolutely amazing. He is as humble and modest as powerful and effective. The best book I have ever bought in my life.

When it comes to High Magick, learning to connect with and direct the life force, communicating with Angelic presences- this is THE book to use. In recent times there are only four books that have rekindled my inner fires for Magick and those books are High Magick by Damien Echols, this book I'm writing about and the other two by other, beautiful authors- Christopher Penczak and Mat Auryn. I always have Angels and Archangels with me wherever I go. It's on my permanent and mobile altar no matter what the operation is.Since using this book, everything has changed in my life. There are real tangible results only after three months of dedication to the practices. I would love to share my experiences and the many amazing results I've had working with what Damien teaches, but I will leave it up to the readers who purchased the book to find out for themselves.

This amount of compacted magickal wisdom has seldom been presented in such a well articulated, pragmatic and down-to-earth, non-taboo way, whilst being utterly space bending and original. The sequel to High Magic (which should be considered essential reading for anyone who wishes to take on 'The Great Work' ) is equally as informative and revelatory as its precursor, and brings to light many more key facets for further personal development. The audible version has a perfect narration from Damien, alongside the added bonus of guided vocalizations of mantras, whereas the written work provides beautiful depictions of relevant material and much more. I highly recommend consuming this excellent work through both listening and reading to get the most out of the material - Thank you Damien!

The book is good. But there's nothing like hearing the man speak. So as a companion to the book I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and Its one I will return too for years to come.The audio cds are ideal as a learning aid, and as an enjoyable motivational tool for general listening.I hope there are audio cds available for any further books by Mr Echols.
