Thin glass, good sizes, nest nicely, great measurement markings!!
I just received these measuring cups today, and I'm very pleased with them. The manufacturer's packaging was excellent, which is a good thing because the outside shipping box was totally smashed on the bottom side of one end. But the manufacturer's box protected them. I had a glass Pyrex one-cup measuring cup and broke it after many (40+??) years. I needed to replace it, and it looked like the two-cup Ackers one would take up no more space in my crowded cabinet than the one-cup Pyrex one, except for additional height, because there is no handle and the glass is thinner. The glass IS a LOT thinner than my very old Pyrex cup. Borosilicate glass is supposed to be strong, but I seriously doubt it would survive a fall even onto a vinyl floor, so do be careful with these!! If your shelf isn't very tall, the largest cup is just shy of 5 inches tall - 4 and 7/8 inches. The cups nest nicely, so three cups in the space of one. Nice! My shelf isn't quite tall enough, so I will have to lay the set on its side, or find a different place for them. The largest cup shows measurements up to the 2 cup mark - one side of the line shows every 1/4 up to 2 cups. The other side of that same line shows every 1/3 up to 2 cups. Another column shows ml markings up to 500 ml. A third column shows ounces up to 18 oz., in one-ounce increments. Yes, up to 18 oz., not just 16 oz. VERY useful measurements! The middle size cup is marked the same way, up to 1 cup, up to 250 ml, up to 8 oz. The smallest cup is marked the same way, up to 1/2 cup, up to 150 ml, up to 5 oz. Yes, 5 oz. (150 ml is more than 4 ounces, very slightly over 5 ounces.) These measuring cups will be very useful, if I can just be careful enough not to break one! I do recommend them, if no one using them is prone to dropping things on the floor!!! I hope this was helpful!!!

“Accurate, durable, and perfect for everyday cooking.”
bought the Ackers High Borosilicate Glass Measuring Cup Set, and it has quickly become one of my favorite kitchen tools. The glass quality is excellent — clear, sturdy, and heat‑resistant. Because it’s made from high borosilicate glass, it handles hot liquids without cracking or fogging, which is a huge upgrade from the plastic cups I used before. The measurement markings are sharp and easy to read, and the V‑shaped spout pours cleanly with no drips. Each cup in the set (2 oz, 4 oz, and 8 oz) is lightweight but feels solid, and the nesting design makes storage simple.I especially appreciate how precise these cups are. Whether I’m measuring small amounts for baking or mixing drinks, the accuracy is spot‑on. They also clean up effortlessly — no staining, no lingering smells, and they’re dishwasher‑safe. If you want a reliable, well‑made set of measuring cups that look great and perform even better, this Ackers set is absolutely worth it. Highly recommended for anyone who cooks or bakes regularly.

Bring some science to your culinary art!
If you're a science nerd like me, you'll love these measuring cups. They are my absolute favorite! They look great, are perfectly accurate, and are made of borosilicate glass that allows them to be thin to the point of being delicate. But they're not delicate. Borosilicate glass is used in chemistry labs for its durability and thermal tolerance. Going from freezing cold to boiling hot is no problem for this kind of glass. Having three different sizes allows me to choose each one for specific applications. The different units of measure give me the ability to be precise, no matter the recipe!

Easy to read measurements
This precision glass measuring cup is an excellent addition to both my kitchen and home bar. It’s perfect for measuring small amounts, with clear, easy-to-read markings for tablespoons and ounces. The glass feels sturdy and well-made, and the measurements are much more accurate than trying to estimate with regular spoons.

So far, so good - accuracy of markings appears correct
Look, I've had these 3 little beakers for only a couple of days...I usually wait until I've used a product several times, over a couple of months, before I write a review. But I wanted to counter some of the negative reviews of being too thin, fragile, and with inaccurate and contradictory markings. I can't speak to their actual durability or toughness. They are supposed to be "high borosilicate" glass, like the material used by Pyrex, which - compared to normal soda-lime glass - is tougher, harder to break, and better able to withstand large, rapid changes in heat. That's why it is used in science labs, for light bulbs, etc. Many negative reviews say these small beakers are too thin, and shatter easily, sometimes having pieces inexplicably just fall out of the sides. As to being too thin, they seen pretty close to the thickness of the lab equipment I used in a high school chem lab 65 years ago. They aren't the thick, heavy glass used in Pyrex measuring cups. They aren't supposed to be. However, if the reports are true of frequent breakage or shattering for no apparent reason, then they are clearly NOT borosilicat glass. So far I've checked the accuracy of the markings, and on my set, they are spot-on. I have an accurate 2-oz measure, and used it to add water - ALL of the markings were correct, on all 3 beakers. Maybe not to the mL, but close enough that my old eyes couldn't find fault. As to the markings for ounces not lining up with cup or tbsp markings, they do on my set. Acker put the ml scale between scales for oz and cup (on the big one), and between oz and tbsp on the middle one, and that makes it hard to do a side-by-side comparison, but when I put exactly 8 oz of water in the big one, the water was right at the marks for both 8 oz and 1 cup. I'm not calling anyone a liar, I'm only saying the marks on my set are right. I've used all 3 beakers to measure alcohol in making small batches of shellac. The pour spouts make it easy to avoid spills and drips. I measure the shellac flakes by weight, so the markings don't come into play there, but the 8 oz beaker is handy for that as well. The alcohol hasn't affected the markings, they seem durable. Again, I am NOT vouching for the durability of these beakers, but for me, so far, they have been very handy, and the fact that I can nest them is convenient, takes less space...though I AM using a kleenex between them...I'm paying attention to the reports of fragility.

Made well
I run a small batch of apothecary, and I loved the multi ability of measurement options with this particular set. I’ve looked at a lot of different sets of beakers the readability of the markings is very clear very easy. There’s multiple ways to read it milliliters ounces cups. I love that there’s so much diversity between the different containers. I love that they all nest within one another. It definitely saves space and it was a great value for the money and because they’re glass my essential oils rinse out, not leaving a smell behind. I’m pretty please. The price point on this was perfect.

Great addition to your home bar!
Over 50 years ago I purchased several 2 Oz shot glasses at the Corning Glass Works gift shop. Over time, breakage and fading of the measuring scale on these wonderful, Pyrex beaker styled shot glasses had me searching for a replacement. Alas, Corning no longer produces them and searching on the internet located only a couple of used ones selling for more than $25 each on eBay. Finding these made my day. At a cost of $3 each, I believe they're actually cheaper than my original find in the 70's. As an additional bonus, in addition to Oz graduations like the original, these also include Cup (fractional), Ml, Tsp and Tbs markings. What makes them preferable to a typical shot glass is the fact you can measure out a full two ounze pour and still have room left over to prevent spillage. In both bar and kitchen the graduations will come in handy. I believe that I'll be ordering another pair to keep in reserve.
