The quality of the paper and print is excellent and the pictures are colorful and provide clues to new words. There is a big jump in skill required between Step 1 and Step 2 so exposure to a variety of Step 1 books will likely lead to a more successful transition to more complex language, vocabulary, and length in Step 2.

I ordered 5 titles including The Amazing Planet Earth, Too Many Dogs, Too Many Cats, and Rocket and the Perfect Pumpkin. Great book for kindergarten level 1 learning to read. Pictures are cute and bright, size of font is large and book is simple with nice story! It is a thin paperback so not the most durable but it’s great for what it is.
