Dr Walker pulls no punches when talking about how we made ourselves sick, but he walked his talk even into his (healthy) old age. He is my inspiration. I couldn't manage without this book and have bought copies for friends and family.

This book is essential reading. It provides everything you need to know to cure yourself of illness by providing the essential nutrients the cells of the body need to stay healthy. The formulas at the end of the book are priceless if you already have an ailment, and all you need to do to cure yourself is to follow the formulas provided. Dr Walker pulls no punches when talking about how we made ourselves sick, but he walked his talk even into his (healthy) old age. He is my inspiration. Fresh Vegetable and Fruit Juices: What's Missing in Your Body
Absolutely invaluable reference for how to heal oneself using Nature's harvest. Everything is explained very clearly and each vegetable, herb and fruit has it's own reference section explaining their uses, how to mix them and in what dosages. There is a particularly useful quick-look chart that shows which juices are best for whatever ailment troubles you. I cannot rate this work high enough, it will change your life if you are open to the experience and are willing to try it.

Great Juicing
Whilst this book has been in print for many years. It is a superb guide to juicing for health. Plus a comprehensive guide for juices which aid recovery on a list of illnesses. This book will give you a good understanding about juicing and how your body works. Your be amazed by the benefits of juicing your feel great. Happy Juicing

Dr. Walker truly saved my life with this book! He was the forefather of the smoothie shake movement. He got 115 years old and wrote his last book with 113 years. He warned NOT to use fast turning mixers as these burn any vitamins and minerals right in the beginning. Vegetables and fruit get hot by fast revolutions as in winter ice gets watery by the pressure of the body weight while skating. He recommended the Champion which I use for over 40 years now. My father in the aga of 85 lost his rheumatism, arthritis and arthrosis completely by eating ONLY apples in the "excretion phase" from sunrise to sun climax at noon. My mother lost 14 kilos and all gout in her fingers. She played piano like an 17-old girl again. Gout and all other deposits are caused by eating meat, esp. game. My father was forestier and hunter. Game has the highest urio acid of meat. I got my weight down from 94 kilos down to 76 kilos by ONLY eating apples in the mornig till noon, NO other acids during morning till noon means no coffee, no milk, no bread, no any acids whatsoever. A book to keep referring back to
Love the book. So much factual and scientific information. The lay out is really good to refer back to when needed, like a manual rather than a book to read once and put away. Wish there were more recipes but they provided the basics that we need for health and wellbeing

Juicing-the antidote to the stresses and ill health of the modern world
I first read this book on borrowing it some 15 years ago. I became very busy, but my spirit never let go of the principles imbued in this book, and so it was simply a case of time before I took up the mantle again. This happened at the end of last year when I began the pH Miracle, with many of the advocated features from this Programme. It slotted in well with Walker's views on healthy diet, and the main ones are to cleanse the system and juice organic veg and fruits. This book looks at the properties of these juices, the diseases they can be used for and why and how they work in promoting excellent health. A must read for everyone who has any intentions of living a healthy, and even spiritual life. A clean vibrant body is essential to progress, be it physically, mentally or spiritually. A must read for everyone who simply wishes to be well, and to care for the health of their children. Juices are so powerful and a wonderful restorative, and this book is written by probably the world's leading expert in their properties and uses. A book that can change your life forever!

Really interesting read with plenty of tasty recipes
Really enjoyed reading this book. It has taught me a lot about the benefits of raw juices. I used to make a lot of smoothies, but have now switched to making juices every morning. Carrot juice has become a bit of an addiction and I really miss it when I go on holiday!

Habe das Buch unseren Freunden geschenkt, die schon seiten einem Jahr eine Saftpresse haben. Es hat ihnen sehr gut gefallen. Endlich weiß man welches Kraut für was gut ist. Wer nach nach Rezepten sucht, ist mit diesem Buch schlecht beraten. Aber das brauch ja nicht. Man hat selbst genug Fantasie was zusammen schmeckt, da gibt es keine Grenzen. Ich selbst habe das buch auch und würde mir es immer wieder kaufen.

I was feeling tired and lethargic for a long time, working and looking after a family means you can easily get rundown. A relative suggested I tried these juices, which I did and it’s made such a difference. I’ve just started running and doing weights again. I have so much more energy.

Norman W Walker is one of the founding fathers of juicing, nutrition and a healthy diet, along with Weston Price, Frances Pottenger, Ann Wigmore, and a handful of others like Max and Charlotte Gerson and Stanley Burzynski. If I left out one of your favorites, I do apologize because there are many others too. Norman W. Walker has written many, many fine and well written books on health, nutrition and juicing. This book is not a recipe book for juicing, although it does have some terrific combinations for juices in it. What it is, is an excellent source of information on what the benefits of juicing different vegetables and fruits are and how each individual fruit or vegetable juice will help your body and its systems to become and continue to remain healthy, and heal itself from disease, including some terriffic combinations of fruits and veggies. The book gives you these sections: Uses and Benefits of Vegetable Juices Topics of Vital Interest Vegetable and Fruit Juices- Their Therapeutic Uses Vegetable Value Chart Fruit Value Chart Ailments and Formulas Do not be fooled by its size. There is a lot of very valuable information cantained in its pages!!! It is definitely worth buying, reading and keeping available for reference. Overall it is an Excellent book that belongs in the collection of everyone interested in their health, nutrition, and juicing, also anyone trying to heal their bodies from disease including and especially life threatening diseases and those who have been told by traditional medicine to "Put their affairs in order." Even then, it may not be to late and you very well could still heal your body and have many healthy and happy years of living ahead of you. Yes it does take reading and focus and following a strict diet including plenty of freshly juiced veggies but there are many, many people still alive decades after being told there was no hope any they had only months left to live. Our bodies, by design, were meant to live almost 1000 years. With the toxins present in our environment and our food today and especially the S.A.D. diet (The Standard American Diet) the western world eats today that is NOT possible. But with a change in diet to what our bodies were designed to eat and the elimination of as many toxins as is possible in our very toxic world many of us can still extend our lives significantly if we are willing to change. If you want to be healthier, heal from disease and live longer it is still possible. Read the books by Norman W Walker, Max and Charlotte Gerson, Ann Wigmore and Frances Pottenger to name just a few. In a year or so you may no longer need any prescriptions and you will feel so much better you will wonder why you did not make the change sooner, just be sure to get your doctor involved to watch and monitor you.

me he comprado todos los libros de este autor y me encanta. todos los libros de él se repiten como en un 50% y luego el otro 50% amplía, aún así estoy muy contento y he aprendido mucho con su contenido.
